I had this problem and i fixed simply by cancelling the download and forcing the dlc to do a "update"

Why do you use FreeCap?

You need: exit Origin>change (hide real) ip for other country>launch Origin and try download dlc
If error still exist>try other ip/country (changing for Italy works for me)


P.S. EA will fix it until release date (I think). This solution for people which don`t want to wait.

Try another server - the one when checked can't be detected as a proxy and your location is unknown.

I had this too, I just refreshed my games and was then able to download with no problem.

using proxyswitcher. I could download just the N7 collector's edition materials because the trasfer rate was very low 40kbps,

Same here, but it's error 7049:403 and only From Ashes that isn't working. N7 CE Materials worked just fine.

Hi, I'm from mexico and i had the same problem, I used proxyswitcher and this IP 213.215.169.21:80
You have to close origin before using proxyswitcher

It took a while to find a working server, but that worked, downloaded the CE materials and "From Ashes" is downloading right now.

Thanks for the heads up with that alternative.

Restarting the download did not work

I used Hotspotshield, it is installing now.
Install Hospotshield.
Open origin and connect.
Acitvate Shield.
Download (if it doesn't work at first, try 2-3 more times).

For those people who have problems with From Ashes dlc only, it's also going to be up on "your registered game content" here on BSN, so you'll be able to download it from there.

Log in with the same account you used to redeem your code in Origin or with the account you used to access the BioWare Social Network website.  Allow the DLC to download and install.
Run Mass Effect 3. Start a new game or load an existing one.

Yep, there will be that option too.

It's also funny how the soundtrack is already available for download there but it's still locked in Origin.

I don't think all the links are up yet. I managed to download the soundtrack only.

They're probably uploading them right now, this usually happens when new dlc is out, you just have to wait a while.
