If you want to increase the image quality of the game follow this short guide i made (It only helps Nvidia users)

As you know that there isn't many graphic settings options in Mass Effect 3 to increase image quality besides the AA option basically even then the AA is post process effect in mass effect 3 and not real AA so follow these simple steps to increase the image quality a LOT, if you own a GTX 560/ GTX460 or higher you will benefit a lot by following the guide since ME3 at stable 60 frame only use half of the GPU Power.

1- Disable the ingame AA, it's post proccess AA that blur textures (aka weaker image) but helps redues jaggies but does not eliminate them

2-Use the settings below in Nvidia inspector, it will blow you away if you have never used it before, what it will do is completely remove any jaggies + enhance the image quality

Open nVidia Inspector, and click mass effect 3 profile (it should be already there)

Enter the following settings in Nvidia inspector

Antialiasing Compatibility = 0x080100C5 (Mass Effect, Mass Effect II)
Antialiasing Mode = Override any application settings
Antialiasing Setting =  4xMSAA.
Antialiasing Transparency Multisampling = Enabled
Antialiasing Transparency Supersampling = 4x Supersampling
Anisotropic Filtering Mode = User-defined / Off
Anisotropic Filtering Setting = 16x
Texture Filtering Quality = High Quality.

Note : These settings for GTX 560 Ti~ at 60frame~ if you got a better video card you can even increase the 4X to 8x, if you got a weaker card redue it to 2x each, anything much weaker then you can't really get any benefits from this guide, this guide is only meant for people with powrful graphic cards and wants to enjoy the eye candy

And that's it, you can even try it now with the demo and see the different yourself.

Update : If you don't know what is Nvidia inspector and how to use it just check this out
http://www.neogaf.co...5&postcount=163

It's really as simple as it gets and you will increase the graphics of your game a lot with basically 1 min tweaking work and 3min reaading.

Hardest part was to find nVidia Inspector and a small button there that opens the profile edit page^^
For the sake of good guide, u mind sharing your profile so we don't need to make all those changes manually?

You don't need to create a new profile, just find mass effect III from the profiles menu (it's there) and adjust the settings i mentioned, changing the settings i mentioned is faster/easier than messing with profiles.

I notice you suggested turning off AA from within ME3 itself - should we do the same with Anisotropic Filtering inside ME3 (turn it off) and go with the override AF in nvidia?

Just a very dumb question, but for Antialiasing Setting do we selext 4x (4x Multisampling)? Or is there a setting that should be called 4xMSAA, because I can't see it.

Thanks for your help!!

4x Multisampling is 4xMSAA

With the settings i mentioned the game will looks like this

Without using the settings i mentioned the game will never look this clean

Some other samples from ME2 with similar setup

You might also want to try
Texture filtering - LOD bias (DX9) -3 or -4

Sorry I got a stupider question: what's the latest version for the NVIDIA Inspector? 1.95.11?

And... what's the difference between the Inspector and Control Panel?

Been a while since I PC game and I just got a nice rig last month.

For ATI users, most or all of those exist in the catalyst app.

Doing That actually redues the image quality

People who wants the best settings should stick to what i mentioned in my first post

Supersampling is the highest form of AA it does not need LOD bias asjument unless you use SGSSAA which is weaker version and require LOD bias fix usually

Control panel can not enhance or force more AA in Mass effect 3 for now even with latest drivers, your only option is inspector.

Same with Nvidia control panel but the problem is mass effect 3 is not supported for now, in other games you can force it through nvidia control panel (like skyrim for example)

So after scouring on how to use the Inspector... I went to test it out. The obvious difference between the highest vanilla setting and this set up is more of AA and AF. Textures are sharper, specularity catches better. And framerate is actually better with this setup than the in game AA, I was hitting around 40-60. It's quite subtle if you take a static image but it feels different when you're playing the game. In ME2, it is a major improvement.

Here's a comparison of Vega side by side:

Why not use 32x CSAA instead of 4x AA?

Because any option above 4x MSAA and below supersampling isn't really that noticeable, but hurts performance a lot more.

Why?  It shouldn't be necessary.  16x anisotropic filtering would be the same either way, unlike the in-game AA which is of lower quality than forced AA.

Some games, such as Skyrim, have lower quality AF than driver forced  AF  even at the same setting.

I don't know how good Mass Effect 3 AF is, but considering this is a console port it probably isn't as good as driver-forced AF.

Thanks for clearing driver forced AF up. I'll go with that.

I have another question regarding 32x CSAA - I don't notice any performance drop at all. Should I just go with that in those circumstances?

Notice the jagged edges in the left picture, especially on his head, shirt collar, and dogtags.  Jaggies are also incredibly annoying and very noticeable ingame without MSAA.

yes i see the jaggies, but i asked which one is made with inspector, since picmaker is saying " Textures are sharper", and they are sharper on the left side. ( and default settings in my game also look more like the right side)
