Yeah, I am severely disappointed by that, but it's not as big a deal as some are making it out to be (the PRE-ORDER CANCELLED crowd comes to mind).

Glad we can agree on that at least. I'm very angry about this, but I'm still gonna play it once. No point in doing it more than that though since it'd be boring watching the same dialogue over and over again.

I've played ME2 so many times I skip dialogue whenever I play the game now. It's overated on replays in my opinion.

People thinking Shepard is their character when if it were it wouldn't have Shepard for a last name in the first place.
The truth of it is I felt more Roleplay with Adam Jensen in DXHR than I ever did with ME. Its not the auto dialog or the wheel its how its used that should count.
Does it suck that there's more auto dialog? Of course it does but if that means there's less agonizing over what my shep might say only to find out she says the same thing no matter what I pick than I'll happily take auto dialog.
Would Link suddenly be MY character if the next Zelda had a dialog wheel?
Of course not why is this any different?

Crap and I liked DA2, except for the overly reused areas.

I need to find out how the story ends.... Did they do this to keep people from retconning their own characters? (gee, I played a total ass in the second game. I think I'll be a nice caring "paladin" in this one.) Because only hard core role players will role play consistently. The rest will metagame.

@Dova - LOL that could be it. I've seen it happen on her before.

@Rockworm - I agree with you on dx:hr. he was predefined, like Shepard, but much more than Shepard, and I felt more like I was Jensen with the huge amount of dialogue choices and possibilities than I will playing Shepard in Me3.

Cant help but notice you're  coming off as arrogant. What gives you a right to decide what's whining and what's legitimate concerns? Is it whining or being legitimately disturbed that they significantly changed the role play formula in the last game of the Shepard trilogy? I'm not making anyone lose hope at all, the game will do an amazing job of that itself once they play it depending on if they like being forced into a canon state or not. Don't blame me for people losing hope, I'm only posting my opinion of the game based on the fact that Shepard has a TREMENDOUS amount of automatic dialogue with few chances to choose. Videos on YouTube of the entire game have been posted, they can confirm that.

I don't know whether or not this has been confirmed, but in the past I heard speculation (read that carefully, folks) that there'd be an army of Rachni serving as Reaper slaves regardless of whether or not you killed them or let them go. IF that's true, then that certainly sucks. Here I was thinking that I'd be rewarded for my kindness by having a massive Rachni fleet swoop in to save the day. 

I'm going to play it and love it regardless.

I don't think auto-dialogue should be the deal-breaker. It'll still be an epic conclusion to an amazing story. Perhaps it isn't terribly melodramatic, but I'm just tired of people saying they're not buying the game over something tiny and insignificant (I'm talking about things said well before we had half the info we have now). I suppose that's their prerogative, but it just seems silly.

Obviously you care about different parts of the game than I do. Such is your right. Me? I'm all about character and choice and yes, the illusion of choice. Taking it away means taking away the thing I love most about the game. The reason I've played the first two games so many times already, and why i anticipated this game so much. That is not tiny and insignificant. It's the ultimate deal breaker.

I played 3 times cuz I wanted to blow sh!t up differently , not tell someone I don't agree with them and have the game take me in the same direction it would have if I made a different choice.

Yes and no. I don't know the exact time, but I don't think it's 25 hours. And no I didn't watch it all. I saw a stream on Saturday all the way to Sur'kesh which is about halfway through, so I picked up from there on.

@Rockworm - Ive been repeating myself because somehow people seem to have missed the other 100 pages of the thread. Though I can't blame them for not reading it, so I just rephrase the same points. I'm not whining at all. In fact I'm about to go to sleep so tomorrow can come and I can play the game.
