So, from the videos you guys have seen, what is the adverage % of auto-dialogue? Everyone here is saying a lot, I would like a % that is up to date, with what we see currently. (Note I'm not watching the stream due to spoilers.)
I only saw the gamespot stream, I would say 80 to 90 % of Shepard dialogues are automatic.

after the mission, the talk with hackett had zero dialogue prompts
That wasn't the only one. There were lots more where it was like that.

We're watching the full game stream, and it's more like 90% +. You barely have any control over the dialogue. Barely.

Also, he was playing on the PS3 version and gameplay was smooth as was the customizations stuff.

If it's that bad, I'm starting to wonder if Bioware even likes making RPGs anymore.

Well that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. What maniac decided that this was a good idea? How long do the entirely auto-dialogue cutscenes last, on average?

I can't wait to hear what bioware has to say about this
They're not saying anything about it. Ever since the demo we've asked them and we have no answer.
They don't want to say anything because I'm sure them telling the truth will have historic pre order drop numbers.

What was the point of the different game modes then?

If it makes you feel better, this guy played like an RPG player. He was clearly contemplating his dialogue options and knew how to balance his team. So RPGers are playing it, but I think a lot will be like me and be done with BW after this game.

Just out of curiosity, while playing it, what was the general reaction to the amount of autodialogue vs. chosen responses?

Unfortunately, I agree and that is upsetting that Bioware believed this would be a good idea

Agreed. If they say anything it will be after reviews and the game is out. A negative admission before Tuesday would be a bad financial move.
On the story front, there are some elements to the story that I can tell will play out poorly. I mean NBC soap opera at noon poorly.
And we're down in france. Don't know if there's another one up somewhere.

The little french I do remember from high school is enough to find directions around a city. But from what I can tell he likes it but isn't in love with it. The chat for some reason was inundated with political discussions. I rather not get involved in French politics since it's very heavy with culture wars at the moment.

Too bad Microsoft didn't become a serious game developer. I like the xbox and if it weren't for the exclusives I wouldn't own a PS3.
