So did they just completely remove the investigate option?
There were Investigate options on the Salarian Homeworld in the leaked beta, so yes.

What did they lie about DA2?
That it was a game..
They didn't lie, so much as we had high hopes for a proper sequal and it fell short of those hopes by a lot.
And for some people it's deja vu for ME3. I don't know until I've played the game.

Hold on, I'll look for it. It was a week or two ago though.android654 wrote...
I've yet to read anything from a rep saying that. Do you have a link? Otherwise I'm inclined to think that people were hearing what they wanted to hear.

As for Sir'kesh, I saw live footage last night and investigate was there for one conversation. After that it's down to two with one occasion of neutral. After that there were no opportunities. For investigating

Has anyone even seen a dialogue wheel with a neutral option yet? Mac himself said that the majority of dialogue options would have three responses. What a friggin lie.
Do you have a link to where he claimed that?
No, and i can't find it. I just remember a fan asking him about the dialogue and his answer.

It's not impossible; being familiar with modding Bioware games, the dialogue files may just be set to play one of the three different reactions automatically, and the patch just removes the flag that makes this happen. I remember there was a lot of issue with spoilers during ME2's release, and this could be how Bioware chose to deal with it.
But yeah, not saying this is what happened, just saying this is a possibility. My expectations for this game are actually so low right now. :\\

I can confirm he did say It. Someone, will pull it out, and believe me, there will be blood on here when the majority get to see that quote and the reality.
As for DA2, I think the lie with that relates to the demo. Many were apalled, and the devs reassured them that it was in no way indicative of the full game. Anyone seeing a trend here?

If Kinect is responsible for the dumming down of the Dialogue in Mass Effect 3, I will be livid.

There's a few reasons ME3 is dumbed down..
EA
Time constraints (i.e. rushed)
EA
Wanting the "Call of Duty" crowd
EA
Multiplayer inclusion (don't care if it was a seperate team, the resources could have been used in SP)
aanndd.. EA

Still, with ME3 there was more of a basis for it. Between an SP demo over an hour long and the pre-release multiplayer, Bioware was already reaching the memory capacity for Xbox Live demos, so there I could understand the inclusion of extra autodialogue.
Of course, DA2 also had that whole autoattack fiasco, which was promised to be in the final release. I remember alot of fans wanted blood after that episode.

This close to release, with money at stake? If you get a response I would be staggered.

You know, as I'm going through this thread, I'm remembering reading last night on another thread here that there's supposed to be a huge Day 1 patch. It's probably just wishful thinking, and me trying to give myself some hope for this game; but what if all of the dialogue options are actually in the game, and are just locked out until the Day 1 patch, for spoiler purposes.

On that hopefull note I am leaving this forums till I have finally played it (the 8th or 9th as I am European) even if this is false hope I don't wanna know yet
See you all on the flip side

Ofcourse you wont get a response, there most likeley bound to not acknowledge you, same with the import thread. Notice how they can lock down, and or reply to moot threads almost instantly. but cannot reply to a 5 day and a 2 day thread respectiveley with nearly 100k views combigned? Its a sad reflection on the way bioware is heading.

The unfortunate thing is they do listen to feedback, it's just that now it's feedback from the mass market i.e. direct quote from Casy Hudson:
'A lot of players on feedback found the dialogue options 'intimidating and a burden and want the game to make the choices for them'

Watching the end of a mission and there has been no dialogue prompts and Shepard has been having a pretty lengthy back and forth with a new character and a squaddie. I'm also annoyed by the forced friendship. There are characters that aren't liked by some and it would be nice if we had the option to not have to drag them along.
