Hope you can at least choose what you say during conversations with TIM or the council. Doubt it though.

Apparently not. Somebody commented that the Council chat was one big auto-dialogue but somebody else had better confirm.

that's a negative, every stream has proven that auto-dialogue is all over the place, especially during interactions with important characters

I don't get it either.  I do not recall fans screaming for more auto-dialogue and less choice.

This.

The beta had plenty of dialogue choice why did they gut it all of a sudden?

I genuinely think they tried to go for the middle ground, slightly displease old fans and include new ones. The problem is that they went too far in one direction. The quality of the overall plot would be raised if the player felt they had some control over the direction, but as it stands they simply gave us a long cut scene and slapped ME3 on the front.

Makes me giggle that FFXIII-2 has more choices than ME3 after what Bioware said about SquareEnix....They just ended up with crappy knockoffs.

Extremely odd. What I remember of the leaked beta, was lot's of choices. It's sad that I'm actually hoping it's a scheme to make money or just troll us.

That's why I'm all the more confused.

The beta wasn't like this.

I think BW has maximized the amount of money I was willing to spend on their new games. I'll play this, only to bring it to full circle, but it's not worth $60 and it's definitely not worth the hype.

He is right... you get choices  as certian points in the game and some  cause a Paradox Ending depending on choice you make. Which is not a game over but any actually ending to  the story based off of  your choice.

You select two things in about 6 minutes of video. Then it switches to another scene that's about three minutes with one selection.

Oh Lord, the citadel council sequences were awful. Instead of being able to really control your dialogue there and begin to assert your take on the games you just glide on through as if you weren't re ally playing at all.

What leaked beta are people talking about? If you're refering to the hub part of the Sur'Kesh demo that was cut from official demo, that is still in the game. You can still walk around and talk to people in non-combat areas, investigate, make dialogue choices. The major difference, from what I can tell, is that alot of the questions have been rolled into a single question, unlike ME2 which when you asked something, you'd usually get another line to select. It still happens in ME3, but it seems that Shepard will auto-dialogue a lot more than ME2, so if you ask about family, shepard will also ask "What about siblings?", "Do you miss them?" without you selecting anything.

Pretty much, and the worst part is it makes you sound like a nobleman who's only concern is pleasing the Council. That's a good example of the elimination of choice.
