But it's true. I understand what you're saving with you not wanting to say that, but I find in this example - Shepard / the auto dialogue is right, lol.
Spiros, how sad that your Jack quote sig file sums up my feelings on ME3. I wanted to be me in Mass Effect 3, not put through the paces as someone else. The big choices and pivot points matter so much less if we are dragged there on someone else's terms.
I liked uncharted 2 as much as anyone, but you know what I kept thinking as I was playing? How grateful I was for the control and interactivity of Mass Effect. Exploring the world, every dialogue unique and interesting...so much of it just pared down to perfunctory passing of information, paper thin character moments, and "we will tell you what we think is important, no need for you to have to explore and discover for yourself.". Why is Anderson no longer on the council, what happened to the Arrival fallout? "Who cares" seems to be the operative answer.

I don't believe ME1 was as great as people made it out to be, but I know some elements of it surpassed it's sequels, just like some elements of ME2 and ME3 were improved upon.
It's not really about putting ME1 on a pedestal. If it makes you feel better, outside of Neverwinter Nights, I do consider it Bioware's weakest game, though I still enjoyed the main plot alot. It's just that, in ME3's case, the issues have greater implications for the Bioware-style narrative as a whole than did ME1's issues.
Wait - What? Weakest?
Sop.. So worse than ME2 and DA2. What?

Concerning the Decisions in the game. There's a video up explaining it.
I think there is a difference between Decisions and Conversation Choices.
Full Decisions doesn't mean choices in conversations, it is refering to major plot decisions. With RPG mode you get tons of choices in conversation, its only ACTION MODE which is what all these streamers are probably playing.
Calm down everyone.
I would love nothing more than for this to be true, but the likelihood of all these streamers blindly choosing Action Mode is pretty low.
Also, the Full Decisions description says: "All conversations require participation. No choices are made for you."
That isn't what we're seeing, however.

Action/RPG/Story modes simply set difficulty, level up and conversation options to predefined values. There is no additional magic behind them.

I completely forgot about DA2, which I suppose says alot. But I did much prefer ME2 to ME1. Still, that's beyond the scope of this thread. My point is that ME1's problems are not on the same scale as ME3's.

Setting the tone of a conversation is as much a choice as making a specific decision on a topic. Conversations have lost most of that interactivity and railroad you through character moments instead of letting you set the tone.

I love how people think PoliteAssassin, myself and others are trolling. We all saw hours last night and dialogue shoehorns you into being a tailored character and less of your character you spent two games building.
Gazing into the abyss and all that, mate. Look at it like this: which thought is more comforting?

How in heavens does "All conversations require participation. No choices are made for you." , meant " Auto-Dialog. so lean back and relax"
No,no, no. Something here seems fishy. If it was simply a design choice to automate dialog trees, there wouldnt be such an option present.
So, either some triggers got crossed. Or its an issue with the 360 version *fingers crossed*..... Well, thats what to little memory will do for ya.

That's what I was saying, although I'm going on what you guys have watched as I don't want to see any spoilers, what will be the point of multiple imports if they will all play basically the same way.

I think it's more comforting to know that the fans are going out of their way to stream this stuff for us. This way we can avoid being surprised when you get your game and see this for the first time.

Isn't that why it is auto dialogued? You have spent 2 games building this individual so now it is time to see the fruits of your decisions. I believe that your character is tailored the way you have created them to be. This is just me speaking from theory of course, but it seems more logical that way. Also, it is really nice you guys to try and warn people before they encounter it otherwise. Very non-troll of you so thanks.

The problem is I think replay will be down massively from the earlier games. I spent two game insulting and denegrating team members and in this installment I'm forced tot ake them on again. Not only is it forced in the story, but its forced in the dialogue for that playthrough. It's done more like an action game with a few dialogue choices. If this is the case, what's the point of replaying it?

No, but i think you combined opinions is a bit polarized. That and the others, just dont wanna spoil the story, by watching the stream, since RP isnt everything.
So we kinda have to trust your opinion, whether or not ,its indeed to much.
Ps. I think most of us are just hoping, you're trollin/.
BIG NASTY TRORRS! END OF THE LINE. GET BACK IN CAVE! <_<
