You mean the same forced friendships we've had since ME1?

Shocking.:D

I usually agree with Polite as he is informed well, but we were kinda forced to be friendly with Liara and Garrus in ME2. Not so much ME1, iirc.

I had to be friends to everyone in ME1.

There was no dick option.

Actually there was, you could undermine ashley the entire mission, make fun of wrex, then shoot him when he disobeyed on virmire and jsut basically not recruit him beign racist. Same for tali and garrus you could point that you dont trust them and not recruit them.

I wish you had been wrong and had the same fears then, too, but props for laying it out there.

Seriously, my second male shep was such a d**k to Liara. The renegade optione in ME1 was more centered around being a douche than a badass.

Doubt it. Review sites seem to be more casual oriented, they won't necessarily care that Shepard is Bioware's equivalent of Marcus Fenix now. To them it's cool cause it's Gears in space.

To be fair Marcus Fenix wasn't a very good character.

Shepard still emotes and has options.^_^

I seriously doubt this "auto-dialog" will make up 50%-90% of conversations as some people claim.

It'll probably be the same as ME1/ME2 relax.

The ign pre-review really hasn't addressed it. I'm really curious to see if most major review sites avoid this topic, given how much everyone gushed over ME1's and 2's emphasis on player input. It would be an interesting 180.

Except we've seen many livestreams proving that this is the case, we're not just assuming things like you are.

i am confused can some one please explain the auto select speech? I played the demo in story mode and had 100% of my speeches be options I can pick.

Are we talking about Action and RPG modes, or what?

If you haven't seen the 6+ hours of gameplay the rest of us saw, your opinion is invalid. Seriously, please at least skim through the earlier pages before saying things that have been debunked already.

I'm afraid a lot of them won't be bothered.  They'll just accept Shepard as a pre-defined character and that he talks a lot on his own.

It's only truly terrible if you're a fan of the prior games with Shepard's whose personalities you're attached to.

We'll see when the game comes out. That clip someone posted a couple of pages back (the Citadel one) certainly seemed the same as the former games (conversation wise).

OK, why would you do that.. Oh my. :pinched: ........:wizard:

I mean Bioware obviously always wanted for you to engage with/expirience these charakters, even whilst being an a%^. I always though, the option to not recruit Garrus, Tali, or Wrex.... , or just plain shoot Wrex, didnt make sense.

I mean wasn't Commander Shepardi suppose to be fighting to save the galaxy, and NOT on a murderous rampage across the stars. Killing was always the last choice, even for renegedes. Only when nessessery, only, when its a  "exeptible casulatiy of war" and only when the NPC was all so very naughty.

Nah, less depth still needs to be a minus. But ME2 didnt suffer for murdering planet exploration, so what do i know.

The two big streams from last night were entirely in RPG mode. The three modes only exist for new games. All imports automatically go to RPG mode. The majority of dialogue is auto selected in RPG mode. The only diiference between RPG and Story is combat difficulty.

So baiscly it's only a problem if you played and liked the other 2 game.

Why the hell was this a good idea?
