Well wait until you see the forced friendships with Vega, Liara, and Garrus.
-Polite
You mean the same forced friendships we've had since ME1?
Shocking.
I usually agree with Polite as he is informed well, but we were kinda forced to be friendly with Liara and Garrus in ME2. Not so much ME1, iirc.
I had to be friends to everyone in ME1.
There was no dick option.
Actually there was, you could undermine ashley the entire mission, make fun of wrex, then shoot him when he disobeyed on virmire and jsut basically not recruit him beign racist. Same for tali and garrus you could point that you dont trust them and not recruit them.
OK, why would you do that.

. Oh my.

........

I mean Bioware obviously always wanted for you to engage with/expirience these charakters, even whilst being an a%^. I always though, the option to not recruit Garrus, Tali, or Wrex.... , or just plain shoot Wrex, didnt make sense.
I mean wasn't Commander Shepardi suppose to be fighting to save the galaxy, and NOT on a murderous rampage across the stars. Killing was always the last choice, even for renegedes. Only when nessessery, only, when its a "exeptible casulatiy of war" and only when the NPC was all so very naughty.

Think the official reviews will touch on this?
I'm
afraid a lot of them won't be bothered. They'll just accept Shepard as
a pre-defined character and that he talks a lot on his own.
It's only truly terrible if you're a fan of the prior games with Shepard's whose personalities you're attached to.
Nah, less depth still needs to be a minus. But ME2 didnt suffer for murdering planet exploration, so what do i know.
