I'll just go ahead and drop this grenade in here in case anyone is still thinking they were watching action mode.
My preorder still isn't cancelled tho
Hopefully this puts the whole discussion to rest. 40k of dialogue is supplemented by unassisted dialogue.
Checking the Demo, even if you select Action Mode you can change the options to Full Decisions. I'm not sure if that is tantamont to changing the whole thing to RPG mode or not.
Either way, I'm not going to worry about it. I get to play the game for myself in 4 days and make up my own mind.

Right.
In the middle of a warzone it's very immersive if my shepard sits there and talks on philosophy and the meaning of life with Garrus; his most trusted but still mysterious best friend.
Now we will ask Garrus amoungst the debris and destruction his thought on my actions as Shepard and if he truely trusts me whilst innocent Turians die by the truckload.
Yes, very good writing and narrative.<_<
That would actually be brilliant.
I am serious.
I guess you just want shoot shoot shoot.

As for your second point at what point did I ever say anything about shooting in fact when did I say anything about gameplay at all? Oh that's right I never did, here's an idea next time you write something down try to make sure that it has at least some relevance ok?
I DO THINK THAT'S GOOD STORY TELLING. AND THAT'S MY OPINION. YOU CANNOT SAY MY OPINION IS WRONG.

I have yet to see such a thing in ME3.
I'd probably roleplay as a Shepard who isn't chatting up a storm in the middle of a battlefield during a Reaper invasion, anyway.
Talking can be done aboard the ship instead, where there's safer and more intel can be gained and used. That's why we have a war room. So we can do the important talking there and less talking on the ground.
Edit: Hell, we even have a conference room on the Normandy for that.

It's not about the amount of talking. It's about talking without any player input. I'd be far happier if Shepard had remained utterly mute.
It does no good for her to be chatting up a storm on the Normandy if she's acting out of character on all of the missions.

There is no such thing as valid and invalid opinion. There is only opinion.
In a hypothetical situation, I could have the opinion that you smell really really bad. Okay, that's my opinion. It's a bit mean, you probably don't smell bad to other people, but in my opinion, you smell bad. It's not valid, neither is yours or other people's opinion valid. But there is no invalidation either in both opinions.

It's not particularly logical to make a point which doesn't address the issue being discussed in this thread. This thread has never been about the quantity of dialogue, but about player control over it.
