maybe this is a good thing, lowering my expectations for the game may make me like it a little more.

Oh who am I kidding, this looks awful

Same here.

There is lowering expectations, and then there is crushing your favorite part of the game,

See, this is what you get if developers listen to the feedback of fans.

Its just...BioWare needs to stop doing things that no one on this whole planet wants. This is exactly what they did with Dragon Age 2 like jesus christ do they have a disablitity?

I remember asking for more RPG and a dialogue system similiar to Dragon Age Origins, aka more dialogue choices.

I do not recall anyone asking for less dialogue choices

I seriously doubt this "auto-dialog" will make up 50%-90% of conversations as some people claim.

It'll probably be the same as ME1/ME2 relax.

Again, please stop misinforming people. Unless you've seen what we've seen, you're just posting your opinion. We've seen two different streams in RPG mode with "Full Decisions" and 90% + of the dialogue is automatic. On the battlefield, on the normandy, on hub worlds, it's 90% + automatic. One of the streams is still up so go and look for yourself. Stop acting as if we're making this up, when quite obviously we're not. The same information we're basing this off of is there for everyone to see. I'd be interested in seeing which percentage of the auto dialogue you'd suggest after watching the stream.

What exactly have you seen? IGN's edited video feeds? Gamestop's 25 minute demonstration? How is that an accurate representation of the full game's dialog diversity, and how can you possibly extrapolate from that a 90% shift in interactive dialog from the previous games? Maybe I'm wrong and you have watched someone else play through the entire game, which seems completely unrewarding to me, but it seems to me like you're just panicking for no good reason. Stop being dramatic. Even if, IF, there are more binary-only choices, and less opportunities overall for the player to shift the tone of conversation, that still doesn't speak at all to the developer's capability to foster a sense of involvement in the experience, and perhaps a little more trust in their capability to tell a convincing story while letting the player control the big bulletpoints, if not the minutia (would you like cheese on your eggs -yes-no-is that an insult to my culture you racist alien), is warranted. Everybody needs to stop counting chickens before the rooster and hen have even been introduced.

And dude, by the way, saying -Polite after everything doesn't make you polite anymore than saying "no offense" negates derogatory comments. Either be polite or don't, saying the word doesn't change the tone of your writing.

I am legitimately angry about this. It's as if Bioware is trying to get rid of me.

I have a link to a vidoe of 3 hours and 48 minutes of straight gameplay. We were al here and saw a play from france for three hours. Would you like the links?

Is this any different in Story Mode?

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm too invested in this series overall story to stop, this would probably be a deal breaker for me. It certainly has made buying future Bioware games not even an option. Way to go, Bioware, I hope you lose a lot of customers over this.

If what is being said in this thread is true (and I wont say it is until i play the game myself) then its going to be the puck in the gut that came after DA2 being a slap in the face. I don't know how many people it will drive off but then again it wont hurt them until their next game anyway.

@Sonintega - Ok first of all, I add -Polite at the end of my post as a signature. It in no way represents the tone of the contents of my post. That being said, how are my posts rude or offensive? By telling the truth about the auto dialogue I'm offending you?

Second, if you would even bother to read what we've been discussing in here, you'd notice we're basing this off of two different playthroughs of the game in RPG mode with Full Decisions on. One from UK, the other from France. The UK stops at Palaven, about 3 hours in. The France one stops at Sur'Kesh, about 5-6 hours in. UK vid is still up if you want to see it, the France vid is not any more. Maybe you should do yourself a big favor and keep up to date with the posts and sources rather than insulting our discussion on this topic. We're not talking about the GS or IGN videos, but overwhelming portions of the game which have been on stream.

They don't care who their fans are, EA cares about who will become their fans.

sorry, polite, just trying to have your back. Some people just jump into the forum and post without any knowledge of the subject. We are not just getting angry over nothing, we are watching people play the retail copy of the game and it is 90% auto dialogue

If it's very early in game, yes. So long as it doesn't cover areas not hit on by the big websites I'll be fine with it.

I've just seen the GS video with the Turians, as well as the Demo of course. I think that's enough to panic on, personally.

Of course it covers big things, it's four hours of gameplay. It's Earth, Mars, The Citadel, Palaven and the Normanday in between. Did you think we were basing this off of inconsequential scenes?

Polite, I am aware that the past year you were the most vocal person on this forum talking about the auto dialogue. And I had my share of posts as well expressing the same concern. Sent messages to the devs about this, but not a single answer.

I wonder what would've happened if people actually started to talk about the reduced dialogue options, but they were all admired by the quality of Lotsb that we became trolls and haters.

Now, everyone here is disappointed with their precious dialogue taken away.

We've done our part providing our feedback to the devs, but now it is too late.

I thought the arrow to the knee gag was your signature, but I have seen posts of yours where you're just as terse and accusatory as anyone else, and as someone who proclaims politeness it would be more reasonable to take the positive stance on all of these developments, rather than inciting more people to preemptively despair in the downfall of narrative driven games. Apologies for misunderstanding your intent.

It's impossible to keep up with every thread on here. For each new idea or elaboration on a question I was having there's a minefield of spoilers to avoid and people freaking out for dozens of pages. And I occasionally sleep. So yeah, I'd like those links.

Oh well, the old BioWare RPG's were fun while they lasted. I guess those EA-is-Doom prophets got right for once - and I should've known better after my beloved Command and Conquer :(.

Weve seen pikachuus vid jbg, out of 4 lines said by shepherd, 1 choice he makes which is basically yes or no, the more in depth choices are automated.

Plus live streams, on rpg mode, the videos dont lie. Its not edited footage anymore. Bioware stated it would be different from the demo.
