"Our goal is to create the most reactive and dynamic dialogue system ever seen in a video game"
Oh man, how things have changed.
Now it has to be
"Our goal, is to swindle you into thinking this game is something it isn't, just to get your money. We might even release pointless DLC's that no one will ever purchase now, because this game has 0 replay value."

Shep was getting railroaded into tons of situations in ME1 & ME2 as well. Did you forget the complaints from Paragons about having to work with Cerberus in ME2? But at the very least, you were able to express how you're only doing it because you have to, mention at every chance that you don't work for TIM or Cerberus and you don't like them. Railroading is not an excuse for less options.android654 wrote...
It has a lot more to do with the final act of the game. They restricted your ability to choose and guide Shepard because all of the endings follow the same linear path, and you have to feel like you're the one guiding yourself there. The only way to do it is to eliminate your choice along the way.
It makes more sense when you see the ending. It doesn't leave room fo your opinions, because ultimately they don't matter at the end of ME3. It's a shame because you've been given, at the very least, opinions about what you're doing and now they took that away entirely.
You still get a choice<_<
Have you seen the 3 endings? Yes there are only three, and they're all mirror images of one another.
Not really; similar elements happen but there are 3 variations to each ending and each ending has a slightly different theme to it.
Now stop talking about those so this thread statys open:lol:

One dialog option for the reunion of Shepard and the council... even that's limited to a one liner renegade or paragon.

And given the history between these two groups, that is pretty sinful. How many threads did we have of people imagining what they would say to the Council when given the chance?

I haven't said any spoilers, so that wouldn't be a reason to close it.
I understand but even talking about the endings might get it closed.<_<

Yeah, don't mention the endings, even though you didn't Android, but you know what I mean.

Take a pill, chill, wait until you have the game, then decide whether the whole is better than the sum of its parts. I've resigned myself to certain things I'm not going to like, but that doesn't mean I'm convinced the game as a whole is going to suck. Chill.

Guys, the lack of a "response" from Priestly and Bioware generally is not only expected but completely defensible. The game hasn't been officially released yet and they'd rather let fans make up their own minds instead of contributing to the pre-release frenzy based on isolated reports of things potentially taken out of context. What do you want them to say? "No, choices really don't matter," thus torpedo their profit margin? "Yes, the choices do matter," to which the BSN will respond with, "Lies!" They're sure as HECK not going to comment on the endings in a non-spoiler part of the forums... yeesh! I mean... come on.

Lol it's like the opening in mass effect 3.
The only thing we can do is fight, or we die.

Don't get me wrong, I know why people are upset, and there are a couple of part that bugged me slightly, but it works well. I don't think I've heard any dialogue that went against who that person was playing as, and there were still plenty of dialogue choices where it was needed.
it goes against my character all the time, went to see if ******** was still alive and my char goes all mushy mush instead of just "you alive?", all auto.
he greeets everyone all happy-idy happ.
also another thing that annoys me, auto-dialogs are usually investigation territory... it's really annoying, I don't need to know if **** wants to go back to earth....
this is another DA 2
SWtor is a better single player RPG than ME 3 is, GJ

Oh god the auto-dialogue is rampant. Ohhhh god... Ohhhhh no. Here it comes Bioware.
Quick! We must gather the entire Masslim community, Talimancers and Tali-ban alike, and create our own open source version of what Mass Effect 3 should have been.
You might be joking, but I'd seriously do this. I have 7 years experience with the engine and am an environment/character modeler. The only thing really stopping something like this is the voice acting. I'm a bit optimistic for the game though from some of the other videos I've seen, but that's me, and it could be isolated incidents. I'll find out tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear that. I am really looking forward to a lot of conversations. I'm ok with a lot of them being auto. This is the final game of the series. I really want them to turn it up story-wise. So, this is great news for me!
Hahahahahaha.

You know that is the problem...
When I just "wait and see" and buy the game, they already have my money... so why listen to what I have to say? I have paid my 60€ and I am no longer a concern... It's not like it actually matters if they p**s me off, there will be enough "Go-By" Consumers that will buy the game nonetheless if it has a blinking standin in a shop...
With a potential deal breaker like this it is better to know BEFORE if it might be wasted money in the end...
