From that thread
15 hours in is like 75-80% of the way through an ME game.
So the "better dialogue" would kick in towards the end. Which sums up what I've said before.
Not exactly. People have said it's taken them 23 hours, 26 hours and then the reviews seem to claim 40 hours for everything (15 - 20 for the main plot), depending on how much stock you put into 'critic reviews'.
Reading that NeoGAF thread, they've given some quite outrageous playtimes for ME 2 in my view. They say less than twenty hours whereas it normally takes me between 20 - 30 hours, without many of the N7 missions done.
Really funny how people get wildly different playtimes.

Seems
to jive with some reviews I read / listened to a couple days back where
they say the game really hits its stride about mid-way.
I
know IGN's 'review in progress' says that. But I think it was more
referring to all of the plot arcs of the trilogy and characters coming
together at that point, which makes it overtake ME 2 in terms of being
the better game? Prior to that, the reviewer hadn't thought it was quite
as good as ME 2. That was my interpretation, though it could be wrong.
I
apologize, I wasn't commenting directly on what you posted. Folks are
observing the "auto-dialogue" reduces mid-way through the game and that
seems to coincide with reviewers (not... sure if I've even read the IGN
one) saying the game really picks up mid way.
No problem at all, Almost. Never thought you were, though it wouldn't have been a problem if you had been addressing what I'd said.
