User reviews on metacritic is garbage. Its full of trolls, Origin haters, Pirates and stupid people. Just read a few reviews and you will see what i mean.

And no the pro's are not being paid. They are pro's because they tend to make sense. Even the hardest critics gave this game a 9,5 or 10 (eurogamer).

And if you think BioWare will give you support on this forum you are looking for the wrong place.

I'm having trouble trying to register my game, and I was wondering if anyone here can answer my question.

Does game registration need to be tied to an online account now? I play on the Xbox 360, and I've never used an online connection with it. The instructions sound like I need to have an Xbox Live account to register my game here, but I don't have one and never will. So, now what? I can't post in the ME3 forums now, even though I bought the game? Or am I not understanding the instructions? My BSN account here won't even let me enter the code.

This is correct; you need to register while online via XBL.  You don't need Gold to be a part of XBL, and Silver is free.  But, if you don't ever wish to be a part of XBL, that's fine.  But it does mean you can't register your game.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, this means I won't be able to post in most of the ME3 forums unless BioWare changes the rules. At least I can still play the game without going online.

That really sucks. So there's no way you can get your 360 online? I know MS charges an arm and a leg for one of those wifi addons, but you could just plug it in with a physical cable.

It's not that there's no possible way, I just don't want to. It seems everything I own that touches the internet gets corrupted and ends up unusable, so I don't want it in my consoles. I miss the old days where consoles didn't even have an online connection. ):

So, no more ME3 forums for me unless BioWare makes an update. Tell the Garrus thread I'll miss them.

Well people are still posting in the ME2 Garrus thread for various reasons. You should come join us. :)

Noob question:
Will I ever be able to post on this forum again, if I don't have a gamertag associated with Mass Effect 3? (we play the Mass Effect games on Xbox, he has the gamertag). I play plenty of EA games on PC and have an Origin account and register games in my own name, shouldn't I be allowed to post here?

As I remember Christ Priestly's first post (the OP) in this thread, the Xbox gamertag has no bearing on the ability to post in the game owners forums (story, character, tech forums etc). There should be an Xbox Live online pass code in the box. You'll need to be logged into Origin with your BSN/EA forum name, then play the game online once (5-10 minutes should do) and then you should be able to register the game.

I'm not sure if you and your husband can share the same origin account, though?

You can still post in the News and Announcement sections as well as in the General Discussion forum without having your game registered.

If you buy the game for PC - or possibly via digital distribution - you'll need to use your Origin account. For Xbox 360, you'll need to use the online pass code that comes with the game in the box.

So, here's my problem. I bought the game for PS3 as a digital download via PSN. The game seemed to authenticate automatically because it's linked to my PSN account, so I didn't need (or get) any registration code.

How do I register for the other me3 forums? Without a code to use, I can't complete the forum registration process.

Having real issues, think i'll need to contact EA about it. I had an old EA account linked to my Live Account, changed the email to my new email. Origin account on EA servers is Jimbothon. On here, it's Jimbobthon. It won't detect i have registered Mass Effect 3 at all, and doesn't even acknowledge my gamercard.

Hmm...why do we have to register our games? What if you didn't buy ME3 yet, but want to reply on the ME3 forums? I know what you're going to say, but still.

Sorry, I'm semi-new at all this forums stuff, tried calling biowares customer support...so I don't know where to post my remark for expanding/ updating mass effect 3 like it's supposed to be (still a great game, don't get me wrong here.). I have spotted a couple of bugs/ glitches and am dissappointed.

First thing is that I paid $80 USD for Mass effect three. In the game, the citadel was probably the only open-ended and explorable area, this isn't what I had expected from playing mass effect 1 and from an RPG element. I thought bioware and EA or whoever would fix that from mass effect 2...

Second: When equiping allies in combat areas/ modes with burst settings (specifically the argus three-burst) Allies only fire-off one (1) round...not full auto, or even the three-burst setting required for the specific rifle/ weapon.

Third: Upon returning to the Huerta <-? hospital area, facing upon the entry/ beginnging of the area, second-door to the left with the salarian scientist (longer stretched area)...the mission completion denotes no pop-up or value of a mission reward. The settings and instance happens when the salarian turns to face shepard, but the characters out of place with only open space being viewed and looked at by the salarian. The words and everything works, but when the time comes for the mission complete and rewards pop-ups, nothing is seen or happens.

Fourth: where is the rest of the kestral armor pieces and settings? Why is the N7 the ONLY customizable armor and piece(s)?

This game seems rushed and incomplete/ lacking...are the creators coming out with patches and updates to expand and fix some of the issues?

I'm just seriously disappointed as of the moment, had I known it'd be a updated mass effect (2)...I would've never bought it. Does anyone/ anybody know if the creators are fixing and updating/ expanding any of these and more in the near future?

Again, don't get me wrong folks. Great game...but not to the achievement and capability it should've and could've been/ was expected. Especially when paying $80USD for such a great game and then ending up disappointed and feeling lacked. PLEASE TELL ME THE CREATORS WILL EXPAND/ UPDATE/ AND FIX THESE ISSUES AND MORE IF PLAUSIBLE!

With much affection and love, David Solus. <3 you baybeez

Typical arrogant assumptions, based purely on your opinion.....smacks of being the same as those you criticize.  I suggest you go and read those scores both high and low as well as those in the middle.  You will find 10/10 fanboys that haven't even played the game, in close to equal numbers to the 0/10 trolls.  Don't want to take the time....fine, ignore the two extreemes and read the reviews of the 5-8's.  Most of them loved the game right up until the last 20 minutes gut punched them.

Oh, and pro's do get paid indirectly from advertising so let's not hold up that banner as only the ignorant are fooled by it.  Professional critics often love/hate things that fans feel opposite about, so this generalization that they tend to be right holds no water - they are just offering their opinion, no less no more.

You fail to take into account that professional reviewers work for publications that are highly dependent on advertising from the game publishers. They are very aware that a bad review can have severe financial repercusions and can also result in a lack of  "access" to future releases.  Ever wonder why you never see any "blockbuster" release getting panned? There's a good reason for it!

As far as this game getting such high scores, I'm willing to bet said reviewers never got the chance to play this to the end before their reviews had to be published. We'll never know what they might have said about the way this game ends.

I would also like to point out that most paid reviewers are not as heavily invested in the game as the obsessive, compulsive players that make up the majority of these posts, are.  The paid reviewers are looking for certain benchmarks that make a game great, good, bad, or crap.  Most have not built imaginary relationships in their heads with the characters in the game.  As such, their opinions, while probably valid from the overall game play perspective, never come close to touching the game on the emotional level many of us have attached to it.  The reviews of people who have slogged through 1, imported into 2, mined their way throught the galaxy, imported that characted into 3, and gone on to finish the game carry far more weight than any "professional reviewer" ever will.

You can bet most of the pro reviewers played it to the end. They might not have been satisfied with the end but they make a living writing these articles so they tend to avoid the single minded hyperbole you find on these forums.
They can actually say what they feel without resorting to "OMG! my world has collapsed, I will hate and stalk BW employes untill they release a new DLC ending".

From gamespy: "The ending is confusing." then he goes on to say mostly positive stuff about the ending although he would have liked a little more clarity.

Honestly, people wind each other up. Its ok to feel a little cheated off the ending you wanted, it wasnt what I expected either. But save the hyperbole, it makes you sound more like a nutter than a concerned fan.
