Me thinks people are going to get burnt out and bored with MP if the unlocks are too frequent. Let's hope they aren't too frequent or infrequent.

I had so much fun playing Asari Adept and Turian Sentinel =/

can agree that the servers could be open a few extra days so us European guys have something to do while we wait ^^ Pretty stupid with regional release dates, whats so wrong about releasing it on the same dates?

Interesting.  I've bought, I think, 11 veteran packs since the change.  4 golds--a Krogan soldier, Asari Adept, Quarian Engineer, and Carnifex--and the rest were Mattock/Scimitar/Viper.   Wonder if there's more to it than just an increased character unlock, as the Adept and Engineer were the only two classes I hadn't yet unlocked.

I'd rather have rare weapons than rare classes TBH...
Being stuck with that Carnifex and Revenent 1, but having all other silver/starter weapons at level 10 and getting Qurian engineers...

After playing a bit since the change it does seem that the probability has been increased massively, I get a gold in almost every vetren pack. But looking at the actual description of the packs I think it actually matches it now, where as before you could buy 5 vetren packs and get nothing rare or uncommon.

People have said weapons such as the Revenent and Claymore are underpowered, will weapons be rebalanced in the full version of MP?

Agreed, once you unlock full customization and level 20 for a character those character cards becomes useless. The fact that every vet pack usually contains only one gold card and seeing that card occupied by a gold character card that is useless every time is frustrating.

Even if the increased gold character card drop rate does not affect gold weapon drop rate, I do hope they can fix the unlock system so that once you've maxed out a character you won't recieve those character cards. I mean, I'd rather have a few more equipment cards or even 1-2 less cards instead of seeing wasted gold card slots.

Still, incredible game, hats off to all Bioware staff.

i actualy like the improved drop rates instead of going like this is )&^&&* iam getting only blue cards i'm more like wich gold card am i getting this time even if i don;t actualy get what i wan i feel more rewarded by seeing a gold card even if it's useless

good move it might just have made sure i won't ragequit befor the 9 weeks marks

I think it's important to remember that while very few have had long enough to do so, eventually the weapon upgrades will hit a ceiling too, and once one has all of the weapons &c. that one wants, it'll be the class unlock/XP boost upgrades everyone will be after in order to increase GR / Level up faster.

EDIT: I too am curious about the weapons, whether Demo feedback will be used to revisit the utility of certain weapons/classes. I am aware that the demo contained only an abridged selection of the content present in the full game, but the way certain weapons and classes are emerging as clear winners and some total losers is troubling to me.

If there would be a cap introduced that stopped you from getting unlocks you already have, you could get all weapons and all classes before exporting them to gr, isee that can be exploitable, also it could be a whole lot less rage inducing

I love how every vet pack now gives me a race (FINALLY got a Turian) but I am noticing that you just simply dont get any weapons now.

I hope this isnt the case in the full game. loved the time I have had with the demo. REALLY looking forward to the full game... best demo I have played in a loooong time

Ahhh, so this could be the reason I finally unlocked a Turian and Asari at level 103 and 106 respectively. I am so glad it is being changed in the full game. I got so sick of never unlocking a damn Turian or Krogan. I was also sick of getting character training for humans only AND ones that were fully unlocked at that.

first of all thank you bioware for increasing the character-card drop rates in the final game and making it less frustrating so get your favourite race/class combination

but still, just like other people here already statet, it would be absolutly great if you could get rid of the possibility of getting useless character-cards once you maxed out their respective level and options of customisation
it would be far better if you'd make them inaccessible and ,once you've reached that, increase the drop chance of "rare" weapons that aren't maxed out or even obtained by then
this change would take away a huge disadvantage of the whole "randomness" as well as a lot of frustration which a lot of players (me included) faced in the demo
also it would guarantee that every aspect of the mp is definitaly unlocked after a certain time played

Great MP demo ... thanks! I think that the MP demo part is much better than the SP. I was already planning to get ME3 based on ME2 experience. However, people who have no experience with the ME series and play the demo later will be missing out. If there is a way to give them a limited MP demo (e.g., for 7 days after first starting the demo app, only the two maps) without too many free riders getting multiple accounts, etc., I think that would be to the benefit of sales down the road.

Well, in the final game we have 3 times more characters to unlock (now you can unlock 1 race for each class, then you can unlock 3 for each class), and twice the customizations (now you can unlock customizations for 2 races per class, then you can unlock for 4 races/gender). I think we will see a bit more variety in the unlocks.

Wow so now people want more frequent weapon unlocks? No pleasing anyone I see. With the amounts of weapons in the full game, the unlock system is fine with the current changes

You should work on commission BioWare, ME3 MP made meI buy a gold account for the first time since I bought my first 360 in 2006. I asked a very good friend of mine in the US to get from a retailer that had it on special. It was $35.95US which is only about $32AUS!
