Purchased ME3 as a physical copy direct from EA.

Other games I've bought as physical copies are available to download from the Origin client (example: Dragon Age 2, SWTOR). Will I be able to pre-load the Mass Effect 3 from Origin?

I'm expecting the answer is "no" since the physical game itself has a code inside, and if my Origin account had been granted ME3 before they physical copy even shows up at my doorstep, I'd technically end up with two copies for the price of one. This doesn't make much business sense.

Seemed no harm to ask anyway.

You will have to wait till you get your copy with the codes, then you can use it to download the game as a backup and dont have to use the cd in the tray.

But no you can't preload since you don't have the code in hand.

I've also pre-ordered the boxed n7 collectors edition recently got the receipt, but no pre-order code yet. Hope it doesn't get caught in the spam filter.

I do not believe there's a "pre-order pre-load" code for physical editions. You'll have to wait and install it the old fashion way.

Just do what I do, get something to eat or take a shower while it installs... that way you can be up ALL night gaming and you won't stink when you finally come out of your room. ;)

Pre-loading is for Digital copies only.
The point of pre-loading is so that people who order digitally don't have to spend hours on release day downloading 10gigs of files, compared to sticking a disk in your PC and letting it install from there.

I was thinking more of the pre-order code to get the pre-order items. i.e Argus Rifle or whatever.
