The "secret" ending is real

Let me preempt the future onslaught of accusations by making it clear that I haven't played Mass Effect 3, nor do I have any inside knowledge of the endings. I have, however, seen the Prima strategy guide. How? I work at a large electronics retailer and we received the guides yesterday.

First, the guide clearly states that there is a "secret" ending for those who've finished a New Game+. Whether this ending is a supplemental cut-scene or some new choice remains to be seen. The guide doesn't show screenshots or give many details due to "not wanting to spoil too much." Second, it states that the endings are different based on whether or not you kept the Collector's Base in ME2. It says if you don't import a character it assumes you destroyed the base. Third, there's apparently a "special reward available only to players who imported a save from Mass Effect 2 with the Prejek Paddlefish purchased by Commander Shepard. If the Prejek Paddlefish survives through all of Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect 3 New Game Plus, visit Liara's quarters aboard the Normandy for a very special intel bonus." Now, to me, that implies that the special ending doesn't involve Shepard dying or the Normandy crashing for no apparent reason. How else could you visit Liara unless you survived the end of the game?

I took pictures of the relevant page in the guide with my phone but I'm having difficulty uploading them to my pc. I have an LG Dare... and it sucks. I'll keep trying.

Why hasn't anyone seen this ending? Not sure. My guess is that Bioware is smarter than we think and didn't allow anyone but devs to see it. Perhaps the space edition is not the full game. I highly doubt Prima messed up their guide so badly as to list parts of the game that don't exist. Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know that it might be wise to not cancel your Collector's Edition preorders.

Yeah, I know. Now I need to load up ME2 and buy that fish. I never bought any of the souvenirs on the Citadel besides a model ship.

Sounds fishy. Like the "Kill 150 types of pokemon to unlock Pikablu" fishy.

I could be wrong, but IIRC, it's been established that you can go back after end game. It just puts you in a save before the end, or some such. Kind of like Dragon Age: Origins did. If so, that would have no bearing on whether or not Shepard lived.

or like i have been saying maybe dlc will fix that

maybe the devs will do some form of after credits dlc and only way to play it is by continuing the game after credits

Someone posted up a list of war assets earlier, and it's funny, because this:

ID=204 Prejek Paddlefish Type: Intel - StartingStrength=0 ConditionalDescription="Paddlefish survive to new game plus"

Not all of us have smart phones.  Mine, for instance, can't even send a photo to an email account. :(

But who knows.  Wait and see what happens ... this guy can always have someone else take a photo of the page in the guide.

... and then possibly get fired. ;)

They actually thought to include an auto-feeder this time--one that doesn't come in the form of an optional bisexual romance chick, that is--so that's good.

I really hope all this stuff about the leaked ending isn't quite right and BW have kept their cards close to their chest.  I wont hold my breath though.Posted Image

Go type into google "transferring pictures from LG Dare to computer" and get back to me, bud. Like I said, I'll try again later. You're lucky I even bothered to post this message. I figured I was doing a favor to this place because it's been in meltdown mode for the past three days.

Like I said, I haven't a clue if Prima is ever wrong about these things, but I can't imagine how they'd make it up. Does anyone know how they make the guides? Do the game companies write them or do they produce them after the game goes gold? Maybe Bioware cut the content or maybe there's a major bug going on. Xoi said his face wouldn't import correctly. Who knows what else might be wrong with this game. My bet, though, is that nobody has played the full game yet.

I had her come up for a dinner, which was entirely acceptable, and I left it at that and said "oh yes, you can feed my fish for me".

You can buy it again I think, not sure if that counts.
