What if unpatched its "locked" and BW was waiting for the game to come out to unlock it through a patch. I mean BW has never done anything sneaky like that but I can see it happening. 

Day one patch doesn't have to be huge to add all sorts of things, like Halo Reach the whole rank cap thing

Noone told Xiosite for a playtrough with the fish as war asset

Meh we shall see what happens then. If I am Krogan presents his photo that shows this is the case and it stands up to scrtuiny, then yay! Maybe their will be hope for you guys to have a better ending that don't like what is being offered through a first playthrough. Till then I'm in a wait and see approach like I was orginally. Even then...I still find it odd a flipping fish will make all that much of a difference...

Remember, it was the paddle fish that could sometimes wind up "swimming" outside its fish tank due its particular swimming animation.

It can also be said that it is extremely rare to have a FISH in the war assets. What purpose would it have anyways? What the hell is some fish supposed to do against the Reapers? Just saying, it's unusual.

Maybe it's a joke item that has a serious purpose? I mean, come on. It's a really good thing to sneak in there. NO ONE would have thought that a damn fish would help you save the galaxy.
