I love tom to death and I agree about gameplay and dialog/exposition. The plot and endings and the twist i fundamentally do not agree on.

i agree,

from the very beginning bioware has been stating how this is our shepherd, and we decided his story. but it seems, in the final game, Bioware has decided to tell us how its gonna end. WHAT happend to our story??

I've said this numerous times, but why not decide how Bioware quote, unquote "let you down with the ending", by actually playing the ending yourself and understanding the context of which led up to that specific scenario.

i'm gonna enjoy the game either way, but i think they could have thrown all the happy ending folks a bone, and had at least 1 happy ending

Hmm really?

EA, pretty big company right? I'm sure they give out big checks right to those, ya know, reviewers who give those extra "something, something" in there scores if you know what I mean.;)

But, huh, why did they give the Medal of Honor reboot (a series that they wanted MW to compete with) a 6.5/10?

Why did they call out  the games flaws, when they could've easily given it the "EA special pass"? But what do I know, there just a bunch of eager boot lickers who can't wait to give that perfect 10.

he may be a fan but I fear we are starting to see the same Sh** that started with Skyrim its all these media sites saying how great it is . With out looking at its flaws . what will it take a second out cry by us fans to make game media sites wake the hell up . And say hey we need to view games on a whole and not just by what we like about them.

you do know IGN rely's on publishers for advertising right? thats why they don't hand out bad reviews to publishers like EA and Activision

Or how about before comparing it to Skyrim, or telling game reviewers to look at the flaws, and the "biggger picture"...Or maybe you should gather your own well thought opinion before assuming it's another Skyrim in the making...

You do realize Medal of Honor is a EA PUBLISHED game. They gave a bad score to this EA PUBLISHED game. A big EA PUBLISHED game at that. So I'm failing to see your point.

well he is a Bio fan . because the ending makes me sick and want to vomit

Yeah. Big Bioware fan.

Like The Old Republic..and hated Mass Effect 1 and 2. Huge Bioware fan.

It sounds to me you don't agree with his impressions. It sounds to me like you wanted him to SPECIFICALLY blast the game. You wanted him to rage about the plot, the ending, and have him call out Bioware as a disgrace of company...because that's how you feel right now, and your pissed that people are liking something that you clearly don't.

Well maybe its because he hated the last two that we shouldn't, not trust but, take to heart that he liked the game. Not because he's being bribed or anything else, but because of the switch itself. I haven't read any of his reviews so this is completely a blind opinion. A lot of fans have an expectation of ME3 from 1 & 2 which a lot of people liked. Like I said I haven't read his reviews for any game including ME1 and ME2 but it might show that the game has gone in a different direction from what fans of previous games liked/expected. This can be anything from storyline to gameplay.

In the end I never trust any reviews because they're opinions and people have different ones.

i don't know what you don't understand about advertising. IGN won't give EA or Activision games bad reviews because they fear advertising being pulled. its happened before

Look at that forum warrior go. Anyways the Tom guy does confirm the embargoes and while I don't like the endings that have been leaked so far I still plan on purchasing and playing the game.

A lot of old time BioWare fans have come to expect certain things from a company that prides themselves on story telling, and if the endings do turn out to confirm what we've seen here then its going to be pretty ugly around here next week. Do I think the game will turn out like DA2? Probably not to the extent of bad that game was because at least in ME3 you aren't stuck in a city all day lol :P.

Also, IGN didn't exactly give stellar reviews to Dante's Inferno, Army of Two, or the console versions of Mirror's Edge...

TB already panned the game for DLC and ethics and he doesn't even accept free review copies instead he gets a press version to preview on his channel. Clearly your faith in Tom is misplaced.

A true journalist does not accept anything and instead uses his own money to rate the game because he/she puts himself in the position of a consumer and if he says this game is not worth $60 then people won't buy it because they know he/she spent $60.

An I don't get about you not understand the fact that Medal of Honor is a EA Published game...

Let me repeat that EA PUBLISHED,
EA PUBLISHED,
EA PUBSLISHED,
EA PUBLISHED
EA PUBLISHED.

They gave it a 6.5/10. Not a 9.5/10. A 6.5/10

So either your trolling, or I don't know...

And if he already panned the game for DLC and ethics, doesn't the fact that he nonetheless considered it good enough to praise it actually reinforce the idea that he's telling the truth?  Because you're arguing that the fact that he has a built in bias against the game means his postive review of the game is less reliable, when it probably means its more reliable.

As to your second point, even if they're not paying for the game, I think people have a decent idea of what $60 is worth - and besides, any major title costs pretty much the same.

Why? No, seriously that's just stupid. Yor acting like that can't be critical because of free review copies.

Seriously. Look at EDGE, they are notorious for giving 6/10 for big games (The Witcher 2 was a recent one they slayed).

Or how about Jim Sterling of Destructoid...got a free copy of Assassins Creed 2...gave it a 4.5/10 when everyone gave it 9's, and 10's.

Seriously know what your talking about before you post. To say silly bs like "oh you can't say a honest opinion because your given a free copy is pure bs, and has been proven untrue."
