What if there was a "rescue the Normandy" DLC for the surviving Shepards, where they can go and save their friends?  It's not a new ending, it can be made to not negate the tragedy of the mass relays (Ieldra is dead right, FTL is still possible), and at the end, some people could stay behind IF (again, IF) the epilogue planet was the same planet the Normandy crashed on.  I don't care if it's a total Village moment, where some people say "Hey, we want to start over," and stay behind, just give us the chance to let us reconnect and save our friends and LIs.  I think this suggestion/plot would be the best of all worlds, and could give EA what they want (more money), Bioware what it wants (won't mess with anything in the game's canon for the future, or however they plan on continuing) and the fans what they practically need (a happier ending).

Granted, this is all based on heresay and SOME evidence (anyone who thinks we have the full, complete and unbias picture so far is, well, IMHO, wrong), so maybe this whole thought is premature, but, well, it's a thought!

I think bioware have stated that there will be no post-game DLC, although I cannot seem to find the link.

Considering the game takes you back to before the final battle for future DLC, it won't happen.

Also it would be better to just cut the entire thing out.

But you know how BW is about setting up sequels, they love to use useless plot devices.

At some point I just started to thinking that maybe there still is a chance. Reaper tech laying on the Earth. And as we remember they make their way from the dark space. Not so fast, as it would work with mass relays, but still. New chapter?

But I got more hope with re-editing ending.
