Possible to be bros without accidentally same sex romancing in ME3?

Anyway, am I the only one who's a little worried that while trying to get to know a same sex character you might accidentally romance them? I mean I play male shep, and garrus is my bro, so I'm definitely gonna want to talk to him a lot, but I wouldn't want to romance him, I'm not into that. Does anyone know how clear the line will be there, or if there will be a disable same sex relations feature?

Kaidan's the exception. Assuming he survives, the opening of ME3 is basically like the opening of Witcher 2 but with more d*ck.

Avoid romance?! Kaidan grabs you by the BUTT when helping you up the Normandy.
And then comes the dilemma, if your supposedly straight male Shepard actually likes it when Kaidan does this.

Back on topic, I believe the actual concern was the possibility of accidentally stumbling into a romance without knowing that's what the dialogue option was for, a problem that Dragon Age II solved by marking romance options with heart and broken-heart icons.
And people still whined. Seriously, between the terrible writing, the lack of regard for choices made in previous games, and the rushed everything, the thing people picked to whine about was that consistently picking the "be gay" option in conversation led to gay stuff?

I'm sure the paraphrase for the romance dialogue will be painfully obvious, like it was in the previous games.
Plus, it will be on the paragon side of the wheel 99% of the time, like in revious games.

- Haven't found the right man.
- Haven't found the right woman.
If you still afraid of being ninjaed by a gay character with choices like these then I'm sorry but you should probably seek help for dyslexia or something.

So my femshep that romanced Garrus can't continue in ME3?devSin wrote...
Anyway, Garrus is not available for new romance, gay or straight. So it doesn't matter.

You can continue it in ME3, you just can't start it in ME3.
Same goes for Tali and male Shepard.

That's not related to gay romance, however. In the past, there weren't really separate friendship and romance tracks. You either had somebody you could romance who would only really talk to you as long as they thought they were in a romance, and you had squadmates who couldn't be romanced who actually had interesting dialogue that you could actually read, regardless of gender or intent.Nefla wrote...
I'm excited about the s/s, but I think the OP has a valid concern.
I believe they've said they improved on this for ME3, so that it's not "romance or nothing" for all the characters who can be romanced.
In any case, the only person you wouldn't be able to talk to is Kaidan, even if it was the same as it was in ME2. Steve apparently talks some, even if you don't pursue him (probably similar to how Kelly worked in ME2).
