I also sent an e-mail to EA customer support with details of the gray start button issue. Hopefully with more people contacting them on the matter they'll eventually get around to fixing it. At this point I'd happily take a refund and order from Steam instead though. I've bought three games through EADM and have had problems with two of them. 67% failure rate is pretty good for EA though :P.

Edit: I got a quite fast reply that recommended me to lower security settings in Internet Explorer (the EADM and IE are apparently connected somehow), scan for spyware, disable firewall and anti-virus software.

Sadly, none of this worked and the start button remains gray. I can also download other games like Mass Effect fine from the EADM. I sent them a reply, asking specifically about the "url not found" error in the log, maybe that will shed some light on this.

My DDE just finished unlocking and now is extracting. So even though I am here in Germany, I am lucky. I don't understand why EA and Bioware don't do a world wide release. I will be enjoying the game tonight

I have contacted ea, they said that the problem is in my connection, so i ordered a trial game for testing, and of course the green button is right there, i can download that without any problem... The problem is at ea.

Mine is on the hard drive, encrypted and taunting me since yesterday... And won't be unlocked just until the very moment I leave the office tomorrow afternoon which means like an hour less of gameplay that day. :P And I'm supposing that there are not troubles installing or soemthing. *prays*



My version has English (Europe!? Why not say British English?), Czech, Hungarian, Italian and Spanish (I'm going to suppose that Castillian).

That pretty much means they don't know what's wrong. If the button doesn't go green at release I'm rebuying the game off Steam and forgetting about EA Store.

in fact polish geramn and frace box version was delayed a 2 weeks because of the ... no special reason given ( logistics or so ) i live in Pl but ordered deluxe english version - already installed/unlocked game with  key that ea sent in email now its 12 hrs left from their email ( in 48 hrs i should get other codes ) and play

hope that they will sent it before 11 AM CET

Is there any update on the inactive 'Start' button yet? I have the same problem, contacted the EA support, saying ALL other games in EADM can be downloaded just fine, so it's not a connection issue. So far no answer...What did i even expect...?

Apparently we are talking about different 'issues' here. My problem is that i can't even start preloading, you seem to have preloaded the game and waiting for it to unlock. I'd be very happy if i had 'only' the problem of waiting... :crying:

I wrote my last mail to them 17 hours ago, about that, no answer. It could be country restriction, sure, but why the hell they didn't tell us before, or tell us now? Greatest support ever.

Y'know what, i'll be dancing (well, not quite) from joy if i find out that they simply disabled preloads for certain countries in order to cater the bigger markets better. I'd be totally okay with that but then, really, why not just tell us?

We're quite used to this kind of 'service' around here, the least EA could do is being honest.

If you have preloaded, count yourself lucky and be assured that unless something terrible happens, you'll be able install the game on Friday 0:00.

Did you get the mail with the codes for the items and Warden's Keep as well? I got only one code (for the game) in the order confirmation mail and i ordered the DDE too. That said, i've already registered that code on this site all right. But don't know anything about the rest...

Where are you from? It seems like people with the inactive start button problem are from countries in the GMT+2 time zone. Maybe EA really is restricting preloading in some countries but I agree that they should have told us.

 Finally i got something what (kind of) confirms that there are country restrictions.
See (part of) my chat conversation with EA support below:

Dylan: If the button is not active then it means that pre-load is not active yet. I suggest that you try again after some time. [07:03:19 AM]
: are there any country restrictions applied? I know that in Germany, England and several other countries the preload is active. [07:07:59 AM]
Dylan: The preload hasn't been active in few countries yet. [07:04:19 AM]
: is there any chance you could tell me which countries are these? [07:09:13 AM]
Dylan: I am afraid we do not have the list, but for those where it hasn't released, it would be up soon. [07:05:39 AM]
: I'm located in Slovakia and have friends in Hungary too, none of us has been able to start preloading yet [07:10:42 AM]
Dylan: That means it's not active for your region yet. Please try again after some time. [07:06:41 AM]

got the serial number and have registered the game fine on this website.

hopefully the redeem codes for the content will come in an email friday or something.
