I guess I'm the only one who likes the endings?

Dw99027, I was joking with you, so I hope you didn't get offended. If I did, I'm sorry.dw99027 wrote...
Maybe those that do like the endings don't have any reason to be extremely vocal about it. Business as usual for us, no need to have anything changed = no hyperactivity.
But as to your argument, I sure everything is fine from your point of view because you have gotten what you wanted. However, for others, this betrayal ( for lack of a better word) by Bioware for promising a final game where our choice would have a impact on the charaters we care about, is unacceptable. The endings should be a refection of those choices. We don't think that is the case, and so, we are being vocal about it. It doesn't help that some people are saying " oh well to bad for you, just live with it." Well, you got what you wanted, but we can't?
Naturally, when you say something like that, given the fact that you got what you wanted, its only going to fuel the rage people are already feeling. But thats trolls, who live in little dark rooms, while hating on everybody because they hate their life and want everyone to suffer along with them.

anyone else think crashing Normandy is a interesting idea?
i think most people are angry there wasn't a pure happy ending included amoungst the 6 or 7 endings. thats what ticks me off the most
A victory without sacrifice would've cheapened the whole Reaper threat.
it worked in dragon age origins, (with the happy ending after doom part)

i was absolutely repulsed by the inital leaks. from those bink vids, this is not the ending we need, nor the ending we deserve. but with the right context, then maybe, just maybe, BW might just be able to show us the sweet in bittersweet. A final moment before the grand finale...a farewell to comrades and friends, a last goodbye to the loved ones, a farewell to arms... oh wait

Same here. It's not the grimdark ending that annoyed me. I would have picked that ending for my canon Shep, minus the part where the Normandy gets stranded. What I hated was the lack of other endings to balance things out. I don't think that different colors of explosions can be considered as different endings.XX55XX wrote...

The hollow, pyrrhic victory at the end is highly depressing. Hours of gameplay and emotional investment over several years are squandered in an instant. Who wants that a slap in the face like that? I want entertainment, I want reward for my effort. Sorry BW, I don't enjoy feeling depressed and it's certainly not an experience I'm going to pay money for. While you get people who enjoy having pain inflicted on them and even pay for it, that isn't my thing.
Funny, I remember people wanting this sort of ending back when ME3 was announced. I wanted it, too. Now I have it, but without other endings, I am somewhat annoyed. I want to see a greater variety of endings.
But, at least they've set the canon for a future ME title.

No offense taken Jackal, lol, not at my age anyway. I never said I didn't understand those who emphasised more on the game's interactions. It's just that some like me view ME as unstoppable force meets immovable object, storyline wise. and treat interactions as a fantastic side-dish. Making an ending where both sides aren't to some degree heavily setback or completely devastated without reprieve would be a disservice to the franchise's whole storyline concept. During such a setting, interactions and romances should take a back seat.

No. I don't see the point. It looks as if the writer wants more tragedy.

I really don't mind the ending. I don't want sunshine and daisies, and I don't really care if Shepard lives or dies. My problem is it isn't plural: one ending with a few variations/palette swaps/slight changes in voiceover. You'd think they could've gone all out like they did in ME1 for the ending of the trilogy, but they just didn't.
Totally agree.

I think that it's like the Garden of Eden somehow. A new world, a new civilization built from the ashes of the old (Atlantis)
I really hope so. I just don't see how Tali and Garrus will make it. Maybe the game will give more input, or they can add a DLC with Tali and Garrus living in this new world.
