Whoa! Way to build up things towards ME3.

The Reapers took over Batarian homeworld and spread through their space in 6 Earth days. They are invading Earth in 3 days.

I wonder if Reapers took any losses when invading Batarian homeworlds, because that was what Hegemony probably defended with all they got. I think the battle was over very soon though. There wouldn't be army of Batarian husks invading Earth otherwise.

Few Hegemony battleships left won't have any chance to to anything. Get hell out of there and re-group, find allies. That's all they can do.

Hmm... I according to previous games 6 days might be too short time for Reapers to indoctrinate Batarians to sleeper agents. Quick indoctrination would only produce rambling idiots not usable as sleeper agents. Then, who the hell knows what kind of technology Reapers have brought from dark space with them.

Damn, for once it looks like we are getting epic fight against epic enemy in the game, not only in game ads. Looks great, colour me impressed!

Yeah, but I think one possiblity to explain this could be politics. Military alone can't do anything.

Nobody is prepared for Batarians escaping their systems and resulting flood of refugees. Politicians play time for themself to see what angle would benefit them and Alliance the best in new galactic power structure.

Politicians don't know the nature of invaders and of course one angle that they ponder is if they could form a contact with them. Could Alliance establish diplomatic relationship with them? could these be very powerfull allies? etc.

And everybody tells military to stand quiet and wait for possible orders while politicians try to figure situation out.

That's my temporary fan ****** before we get to see what really happened in game.

Hmm..so the Reapers don´t possess the possibility to shut off relays without accessing the Citadel? Or they just won´t do it?

Seriously, this is Karmic justice for all the pain and suffereing they have caused. They deserve it.
I mean the military and government of course but the civilians are all mindless drones anyway

The Allaince might as well have gottn some target parctice because the Batarians won't be able to help us in any way since the Reapers have turned them all into cannon fodder.

Vigil said as much about other Protheans being indoctrinated and then taken into Prothean shelters for refuge.. and then betrayed them to the Reapers.

 Yeh, that'll teach those Batarian slaves to be born under an oppressive and xenophobic regime.. not exactly targeted karma hate here <_<

 Though sympathetic I agree that due to Vigil's account of the Prothean extermination they should be put under quarantine.. that way you succeed in protecting yourselves from sleeper agents whilst showing a sympathetic face to the galactic community (which would aid in avoiding similar xenophobic sentiments against humanity from other species)

Good point. Also, I already said that the Btarain civilians are virtually mindless drones and by now turned into Reaper chow. Towards whom or what should I sympathize? They are innocent victims but we could never have helped them besides declaring war on the Batarians and disolving the government

For a batarian in high command to humbly admit that they need US, I think that would rock the Alliance command back on their heels. They may pause and say "hmmm...something really bad must be going on"
