It's possible to keep them alive though right? Because losing the SR2 as well as ME2 squad...it's too much to take :crying:

Everyone else can die for all I care, I just want to save Miranda :crying:

I know. I'm right there with you. BW should not have introduced such compelling characters if they were just going to treat them like this in the endgame.

I know you can save certain ME2 squaddies, but it's not easy. As an example, in order for Mordin to survive, you've got to have killed off Wrex in ME1.

mordin can only live till his 40's , not like its a huge thing for him. rex on the other hand can live to be 1000.

I'll give you that. Still, it's the principle of the thing. I don't like having to make this many railroaded choices. (e.g. If you keep Wrex alive, Mordin's a goner.) Pretty much the only ME2 squaddie in my save file that I'm sure will make it is Miranda, because she was my LI and I'm going to continue that into ME3. But what about Thane? What about Zaeed? I liked those characters a lot too and I'd like to be able to save them in ME3 if I can.

That's not really fair though regarding Miranda. So you're basically screwed if you play as femshep and just like Miranda as a character because you can't make them be lezzie buddies?

It's totally not fair, but as far as I've been able to determine, you're screwed if you want to keep Miranda alive and you're playing a Femshep. Believe me, I want to be wrong about that. I'm hoping someone comes along and proves that we're all over-reacting, but it's not likely to happen.

Hopefully there will be something about it in the Strategy Guide. I don't understand how Bioware is making so many oversights like this after the last two games ugh

If all these deaths are true, I think ME3's script was actually ghost-written by George R.R. Martin.

I am fine with Thane's death since he is already dying from disease, Mordin only has 10 years left unlike wrex, Grunt is well grunt so he is expendable and he doesn't have leadership skills like Wrex, Legion doesn't feel pain and his character was introduced late game, Jacob is just a solider like grunt so he can die aswell.

That leaves miranda and jack, zaeed, kasumi, samara.

Zaeed should die, too. Somewhat heroically, or at least defiantly. Makes a lot of sense of his character.

No everything around him should die, so he can continue to tell stories of everything around him dying.

Why the **** would they start a "cure thane for Mass Effect 3" campaign on facebook if they knew what they were writing for the game?

All this stuff doesn't add up. It's either Mass Effect team loosing all connection to reality and their own work or the community is being trolled on purpose.

Zaeed's retirement plan involved "Suicide bombing on Omega"<-according to a convo from Shadowbroker DLC so I hope he gets to die heroically or doing something great.

Doesn't Liara would already have the DNA require from Shepard to create other Asari?

Oh man, that is so awesome. Even though the ending sucks, I am looking forward to multiple replays of this game. I'm keeping Mordin alive no matter what. Thanks for telling me that I can save the guy - to hell with Wrex.

And Tali committing suicide? As a Talimancer, I want to see Sroka's emotion of her final lines.

All ME2 squadmates(minus Thane, Garrus and Tali) that are alive and make it to the final battle can survive the battle and are not on planet Deliverance.

Quick question for those who have read the script, which decision in ME2 will have more of an impact in ME3?

Not having a certain squad member’s loyalty(in my case, Jack)

or

Having all of the crew members(including Kelly, Gabby and Ken) die by the Collectors?

Basically I’m in a position to choose either one to import, and I’d rather import the one that will cause the least friction toward the overall story. No spoilers pls, and thanx.

Just wait till the Gibbed Editor comes out. With it, we may well be able to "fix" any variable concerning squadmate death.

I, for one, intend to explore every possibility of accomplishing this on my own. If there's a way for them to be saved through plot flags, you can bet your bottom dollar someone will find out how.

As for console people, I hope there are in-game alternatives for you. I really do. Losing this many people in one game is just absurd.
