Doesn't really matter since I essentially get the same result, but I'm going with Control.

Destory. The reapers must die. plus my Shepard gets to live and will find that damn crash site of the Normandy some day

I've played 100% Paragon up until this, but, honestly, probably Merge or Control. I really haven't decided yet. Destroy....yes, I'd finally nuke the big bads and accomplish my personal mission, but at a severe cost to the galaxy for centuries.

Since my crew gets the worst of it no matter what I do (thanks, BioWare, really...thanks for that *sigh*), I'm free to think of what'll be "better" for the galaxy overall.

Can someone explain to me about the control ending like what does Shepard mean about "the cycle being necessary after all"? He becomes the guardian AI and think reaping is good? I'm confused.

Merge, if my Shepard basically gets boned no matter what then I might as well drag the rest of the galaxy along with me.

I may pick Control if it means that the Mass effect technology stays intact and that my Crew doesn't get stranded.

If they still get stranded in Control, I'll just pick Destroy and kill everybody including Shepard. I prefer a nice, quick death for my crew rather than a slow one on a deserted planet. Seems like the most humane thing to do.

I think the mass relays explode and the Normandy gets stranded in all endings.

Control. If nothing else it preserves the Citadel and the millions of people on it.

Control seems to be the paragon option in the end, Destroy seems more like petty revenge and has no real advantage over control that i can see.

Although control transforms you into a computer program for the rest of eternity...I'm not too crazy about that.

I'd have to have a better idea of the consequences, but just going by the OP's description, I think I would choose to control the Reapers for my Mary Sue playthrough. If destroying them means committing collateral genocide on all synthetic lifeforms, then it's not worth it. Merging at the cost of organic individuality also seems ethically iffy.

If controlling the Reapers is the only option that preserves organic and synthetic life in its current state, then Shepard's humanity is a small price to pay.

I... don't... know.

My Shepard is the ultimate hero and if giving his life would mean saving his beloved crewmembers, then he would do it without hesitation.
If their was any, and I mean any way the Normandy wouldn't be stranded on Gilligan's Planet, then I would have chosen that in a second.

For now, I'm leaning towards Destroy, but that can change... we'll see.

Does it matter the relays blow in all of them.... and we know from Arrival that an exploding relay easily wipes out an entire solar system. Hence everyone is dead, Earth Palaven tuchanka thessia ilium omega rannock eden prime etc. All gone. And if they aren't then it is just terrible writing. This alone makes the endings dumb.

Destroy. The merge ending is idiotic (both conceptually and thematically), and the control ending is just useless in light of the fact the relays are still overloaded and send the Normandy sailing right into a Margaret Atwood horror story.

I'd surely go with Merge, if it wasn't for the incredible lack of explanation of the merging. For that, all the three endings have the same appeal.

i think better with control, Shepard become Shepard A.I,, because now he can control Reapers. And Coz my Shepard paragon, i can direct them to sacrifice themselves into the sun.

or Shepard can send any valuable technology through extranet for preparing Reapers in the next cycle, so they can really Defeat Reapers completely.

Last time in this forum i said  i will choose Destroy, Yes. ALL REAPER TECH is gone, but also affect all the Galactic Community into Massive Dark Age. And we need rebuild from the scratch again.

Maybe Destroy basically will enter to 'Dragon Age' ERA, LOL

Merge, as much as i want to see Joker and EDI together for understanding, but it seems that i betray what we want to accomplished from previous game.

so for 50/50 Solution i will go with Control.

It's not the best ending, but personally it safer, and also My Shepard not doing any Relationship since ME 1 to ME 2.

I'm Really going to be a Space Saviour

Control, I want to order them and use them to rebuild whatever they have destroyed.

Destroy, because:

**** EDI, Joker royally ****ed the Normandy and teleported Shep's squadmates on to the Normandy for no apparent reason, so since he crashed the damn ship and defied the very laws of space-time, I will deprive him of his oversized sex toy.

I'll be going with Merge. Not overjoyed about forcing synthetic augments on everyone, but the alternatives seem a lot worse.

So basically if I choose Control, Shepard turns into an immortal space god who has to control the reapers for all eternity. Nope, definitely not going for that. Leaning towards Destroy really, has the least amount of space magic involved. You go out with a bang and you may or may not survive as a normal human at the end.

The blue explosion. Or maybe the red explosion. It's hard to decide.
