Because Kai Leng is pissed that Shepard stole his favourite type of cereals at the N7 Academy. Even TIM couldn't stop his rage.

TIM felt that Cerberus was never properly appreciated by the rest of the galaxy so he got fed up and figured that by allying with the Reapers and making it very hard for the galaxy to unite they'd realize how wrong they were to treat Cerberus badly and they'd regret being mean to them for so long.

St. Anger was a decent album. So was Derp Magnetic...
Not that it makes any difference when you compare any other music to System of a Down which is superior to anything.

I like them, great band! But I didn't find that many good songs on "Hypnotize" -album.

If you read Retribution, you'd have a pretty good idea why Cerberus is doing what they are doing in Mass Effect 3. Also in one of the comic series it gives you the background of the Illusive Man and you'd have an even better idea why he started Cerberus and why he's interested in Reaper tech. And if you read all of the book from Revelation to Retribution, you'd know that Cerberus is not a plot hole filler. Hell, they were in the first game.

That and the Council stole TIM's cereal with Space Magic added to them.Image IPB

Cerberus is plot clay.

Their actions in ME3 make no sense and are the result of lazy and forced writing.

Plenty makes sense.

A bit less in the second game.

Waaay less in the third game.

It's a train wreck right through to the credits.

But a wreck you can't help but watch due to morbid curiosity?

TIM is indoctrinated. Look at the Art book.

Uh well not to spoil books and comics and all that but if you didn't already know that TIM was indoctrinated well previous to ME2, well then you just didn't know.

"Why did he help Shepard destroy the Collectors then?"

We'll find out.

TIM has his own plans obviously and thinks they are better than anyone else's. Why he doesn't involve space Jesus in his plans is above me. I don't think there is a good reason either. I mean that he doesn't trust Paragon Shep I can understand, but Renegade Shep fits into Cerberus.

Obviously the answer is rather easy. Bioware couldn't give you the choice if you rather work with Cerberus or the Alliance, for whatever reasons. So you work with the Alliance which makes Cerberus your enemy. Basically the other way round from ME2.

Doesn't take away the fact that he has Reaper tech in his face.

TIM decided to improve his Life Insurance, who knew that it was controlled by the Reaper Life Propriety group.

The Mass relays are Reaper tech, the Citadel is Reaper tech, probably alot of upgrades ont he Normany or any Alliance/alien ship since the discovery of the Citadel and mass effect technology are Reaper tech.

So yeah he does have Reaper tech in his face, but ... so what?

No Reaper tech in ME1 or ME2 or Retribution though.

So he was not indoctrinated all along nor was he destined to be.

I dunno what's up with cerburus, but I'm glad they are now the enemy and I'm not forced to play nice with them as in ME2, it's going to relieve so much frustration when I start taking their heads off with a shotty.

WTF is wrong with anybody who has that much power, technical capability, and is overseen by absolutely nobody? This is typical behavior in human history. From Genghis Khan to current times we have seen men repeat this behavior time after time, which makes one wonder why we still believe that there are exceptions to this behavior that allows for such people to continue. While I believe TIM to be indoctrinated, the Reapers are only leading him right where he is already dying to go and the suffering and deaths of others be damned. That's why I didn't trust him in ME2 and want to end him in ME3.

I went and read the synopsis of the various 'canon' comics at the wiki, and actually after that what Cerberus is doing makes perfect sense to me.
