WTF is wrong with anybody who has that much power, technical capability, and is overseen by absolutely nobody? This is typical behavior in human history. From Genghis Khan to current times we have seen men repeat this behavior time after time,

Uh huh. Care to give detailed examples? I'm not really sure anything compares. Most especially what Cerberus is doing.

They are wasting their own money and resources.

What they are doing is totally unnecessary to achieve their desired ends.

It's just forced writing. Somebody big on the dev team decided Cerberus should be the main antagonists and somebody else tried to write it that way but failed to have it make sense.

Uh well not to spoil books and comics and all that but if you didn't already know that TIM was indoctrinated well previous to ME2, well then you just didn't know.

"Why did he help Shepard destroy the Collectors then?"

We'll find out.

I haven't read the novles or the comics but I know several fans from different forums and in real life friends who all say the same thing that TIM was indoctrinated before ME 2. I for one believe them but at the same time I'm going to wait for ME 3 as well to see what happens.

It will make some sort of sense before you decide which colour button to push.

Your friends and those fans you are listening to are wrong. TIM was not indoctrinated before ME2.

No Reaper tech in ME1 or ME2 or Retribution though.

So he was not indoctrinated all along nor was he destined to be.

Last I checked he had Turian Eye Implants, the same Shepard has.

I think you are making assumptions about their "desired" ends.    Its a funny thing when someone says they are for the 'advancement' of the human race and everyone assumes that it will be carried out like they HOPE it would be..

Not everyone shares the same idea of what "advancement" entails.

Obviously even people who are indoctrinated may retain alot of their former self. Not all are Reaper zombies. If they indoctrinated TIM they probably only did it on a very low level so that he is most valuable to them. I don't think it takes alot of convincing to make TIM join the Reapers. He is basically same personality as Saren was. Just maybe smarter.

TIM is a crazy ******. If you started getting into the game in the original you would realize how insanely evil Cereberus is, and how they are willing to stoop to any low.

You might want to investigate what happened to him and his former business partner in Coord-Hislop.

Bioware wants you to fanatically hate Cerberus, so they make them do stupidly evil retarded crap that is out of character and MO for the organization.

Well, in Evolution after he comes into indirect contact with the artifact and gets the Reaper tech eyes, he gets a vision of the Reapers.

I don't like it, but it's very likely he finally became fully indoctrinated.

It's not as fanatic, when you're going up against the organisation that wants to destroy or dominate all alien races in the galaxy.

They're kind of going against Shepard's goal that way.

To be fair, the Reapers were the first who did evil retarded crap to be hated and then shot down. Like Sovereign. I would think a billion years old ancient race with a reasoning that is so sharp that none of the 'lower' creatures could fathom it does actually have no better concept for their harvest than brute force. Even though they have their indoctrination tech. Seriously, if they were smart they'd harvest with a minimum of risk and effort. Just by letting the races destroy each other.

According to saren and others, the indoctrination process is almost unnoticable until something like the reaper invasion happens.

TIM can be thinking he is doing what's best for humanity and have complete control until the right time.
OR

TIM could be the biggest douche in the galaxy.

Maby humans are/were chosen to replace the collectors and the suicide mission was to get rid of the collectors and shep in one swoop without distroying the new reaper.

You're right. He sent nuclear bombs in other specie's spa...oh wait, it was the Alliance.
I'm not a Cerberus supporter, but it always irritates me when I read "Cerberus is evil, they committed crimes", forgetting what the other organizations in ME (including the official rapresentative of humanity in the galaxy)  aren't that kind.

just like every game out there that has comics and novels for it, the games are cannon but so are the comics and the novels. What the comics and novels do is tell more of the backstory that we don't get in games. Also in ME 1 Cereberus was the bad guys as well it just wasn't Saren, or the geth or anyone else for that matter and Cereberus has always been evil. Its just that in 2 TIM wanted the crew to paint a pretty picture of cereberus for shepard and to put people on the crew who have shepards viewpoints.

It's not like ANY Mass Effect game has a great plot

Yes, not even ME1. What ME1 had was Saren, Sovereign and Wrex. Plot was cliche.

"The bad guy." Lol. Such a simplistic label used by the mentally deficient to rationalize their preconceptions.

I am not obliged to like or support the story. I liked a lot of it, but recently I'm eh.

I refuse to read any of the novels. From what I've heard, they are horrifyingly crappy.
