Lol no. Control is not a happy or even a real viable ending. A control does is delay the cycle, it doesn't stop it or create an alternative. There is really no point in choosing control. Unless you want to have another trilogy where you have to stop the Reapers all over again.

You get 50,000 years to prove you won't get a technological singularity.

I play games to escape reality, a vacation from the interminable grind of daily life and dying dreams. I like dark endings but I want the alternative sunshine and lollipop ending as well. If there is no happy days ending I think I will go back to reading books and stop playing video games. Not all good things need to end badly. I can;t wait to play this game but I hope there is some hope left at the end.

Are you sure about this Aesieru? The previous individual who posted those examples from audio files is correct, they are there exactly as stated. If you happen to have the leaked script in front of you, the Guardian states that TIMs plan for control was possible, the only problem was that TIM was indoctrinated. I would think that if that is not what was meant by control, the Guardian would have corrected Shepard and explained the difference by what Shepard implied and what he can actually do. Likewise, if you go into the spoiler group and look at the thread "Ending Clarifications", Xoi states that Shepard will become their new master. Perhaps Xoi merely picked the wrong word, but the word master suggests that Reapers would have the obey the directives of Shepard.

TIM wanted the control ending. This was clearly his goal all along to control everything so humanity is always ahead and with him being control of the reapers nothing would stop him and all other aliens would serve under humanity.

Control would be immoral in the wrong hands, but Shepard, I think, is responsible enough to hold such power.

...You clearly haven't seen me play Shepard.

No Control is a reset it doesn't fix the issue, I'd say Destroy is the best because it erases all we've built and forces us to start over.

And also back stabs all your allies and friends, causing a slow and painful death.

Because it's impossible for anyone to find or be called to the Normandy?

I bet Master Chief would be able to beat the reapers, stay human, and still be able to have little blue children, and they would even be wearing green Spartan armor and be mini super-soldiers.

However, I assume that, in 50,000 years, all the organic races would have figured out how to defeat the reapers the right way this time.  In addition, since they know exactly when it will happen, they will all work together to prevent it.

Doubtful, they'll forget about it.
