When Shepard encounters the merc's while chasing after Liara, he says "Vasir, I'm pinned down by Mercs." She responds, "Say hello to the Shadow Broker's private army Commander!", indicating that she's against Shepard.
Shepard then runs into a stairwell with fire and him and Vasir communicate as if she didn't just reveal herself to be a traitor.

It indicates that she is a traitor only if you know it already. At least i didnt think it meant anything at first time. You talk to her before about Liara chasing the Shadow Broker, she is an experienced Spectre, so she should be able to know things about the SB, namely that he has a private army. She doesnt indicate that she is with them, its just a colorful way to say that "They are working for the Shadow Broker"

This is my first time doing Lair. "Say hello to the Shadow Broker's private army Commander!" doesn't sound like encouragement, it sounds like "Ahahaha I set you up!"

Its all about perception i think. The first time i played it i just assumed she knew who we were up against as opposed to she knew they would be there waiting.

I think that's why they put that line in there, it can be interpreted in two ways, because she is a two-timing traitor.

It can really only be interpreted one way. Scarface didn't shout "Say hello to my little friend!' and expect there to be interpretation.
Anyway, just finished it. I played this after the main game, I had blown up the Collector Base and cut all ties with Cerberus. Miranda and Jacob had resigned as well and spoken about how weird it felt to be on the run from Cerberus. Yet everyone in the Shadow Broker DLC talks to Shepard like he's still part of Cerberus. They couldn't put a check for this?
Combat suffers from the same problem DA2 did. Not many areas, but to stretch it out they keep throwing wave after wave at you.
What a useless piece of DLC this is.

Useless DLC? It's a great DLC! Personally I can live with odd clashes about what goes on in games. When it's all got to be scripted and recorded you either put up with no details at all, have the amount of work grow exponetially, or accept a few things coming out odd depending on the order you've played them in. That'll remain the case until we're capable of software that's up to the job of working out convincing character reactions, and that'll probably require complete AI - so a long way off.
As for the line in question, the first time I played it it sounded very much like she was a traitor choosing that point to drop the act. I wasn't completely sure - it can be interpreted as "Yep, this is what we're up against" but it didn't come across that way to me.
