I've been thinking

#1 Why is BW letting all this major-spoilering be uncontrolled? Could it be that they're just toying with us?
#2 Why did they (assuming that the endings/Normandy are true and they're the ONLY we'll get) lie to the community for like a year?
#3 Seriously, why? A trilogy, full of our choices, of our mistakes.. all this will be lost like tears in the rain? (epic quote) This should severely impact their credibility in the future.
Plus other questions that i won't post here because are strictly end-game related and i won't contribute to this.

Dude I have faith that BioWare won't screw us so let me give you some advice, stay off the forums until the game comes out. This is going to be my last time on the forums because I'm sick of people making posts about the endings that they haven't even played yet and are doing things like cancelling preorders and saying they will never buy another BioWare game again, so just ignore all of the BS coming from forum users and just form your own opinions about the game AFTER you play it.

Damn good advice Synester24.
I will form an opinion after my first runthrough and IF the endings are a poor as speculated, then i will launch my teddy.

1) It's possible if they're toying with us. I'm not ruling it out until we all play the game. They haven't made a comment because they're playing it smart. If they confirm the endings, then it causes mass disappointment and a loss of sales. If they deny the endings, people won't believe BW and/or it'll cause confusion as to why the endings are on youtube and why Xoisite has been giving us pictures of the endings from his own TV. All this happened when we had 7 days left. Why bother commenting when you're a week away. However, devs have commented through twitter. One said that his reaction to it was "people shouldn't believe everything on the forum. Just play the game"._Martyr_ wrote...

(#4 What's in the day-1 patch? :3)
2) Marketing. It's a common tactic in gaming. Look at Dead Island - the trailer was heartstring-tugging and beautiful. But the game itself? Not so good.
3) Who knows? I'll admit, killing off Shepard is way too cliche. There are other ways to end a trilogy without killing off Shepard and/or the Normandy crew.
4) No one knows. The PC patch is 256mb. That's actually a lot. The ME2 patch for bug fixes was less than 100mb. Some believe it's an additional ending since the other endings were around 80mb-100+mb. Others believe they're simply bug fixes for both Single-player and Multi-player. It's odd though - according to the EA FAQ regarding the patch, they said that the patch is pre-rendered in the game... but you need the new patch to unlock it.

BTW. If the patch had a new ending, guys who has access to the games files would confirm it's existence. There's no proof the patch adds anything new to the game. It's a simple, bug fixing patch and nothing more. Don't be naive.

SE addition may not be full version, but some people have pre-loaded the game and the same binks and are ripping out audio files. How can we explain that?Dark Specie wrote...

I wish there were mistakes or what, but there would be lots of files to change and day-1 patch won't fix it all.

Of course Bioware will say nothing about it...but the next week will come their answer: "We did it, so what? we have your money now!"
I'll be more than happy if all this turns out to be a epic trolling by Bioware....and I'm willing to apologise publicly to them, if all this is not true.

The day-1 patch could "unlock" the famous unique NG+ ending, giving the fans a chance to get their satisfactionary ending.

Lol, yeah. That'd be great to find out: That this was all just a very elaborate trick/experiment by Bioware and the real endings are much, much better than what we were shown. I doubt it though, but... One can always hope. That, or wait for a "better ending" DLC.

As far as those who like Bioware's work - critic's are fighting a losing battle. The entire subscription base of SWTOR is now potential customer base - and not all of them are Bioware's typical dedicated fanbase. Even if that is a smaller base, those who do stick to TOR now give a constant stream of revenue and employment to EA/Bioware. They have everything they need to produce the games they want, rather than caving to design demands by a vocal minority.

(#4 What's in the day-1 patch? :3)
1) If they confirm the endings, pre-orders and general sales could potentially dip. Bad for the biz. If they deny the ending, people will just assume they're doing damage-control. Which would most likely be the case.
2) They may have initially planned to incorporate that stuff, but it's likely EA pushed them for time, like they did with the DA2 team. That, or there may have been a consensus among the writers that thought, "hey, this ending works best for the series". Things always change during development, which is why I find it prudent to take the dev promises and such with a grain of salt.
3) With TOR now, and a rapidly expanding playerbase among the "casuals", I don't think Bioware is too concerned about pissing off its long-time fans. We're a minority now, it seems.
4) Nobody knows what's in the patch, but it's likely just gameplay and bug-fixes for MP, and possibly SP.
