Hello,
i'm posting this question to try and get clarification about the relation between the EA account and the one on this site.

So, here's the thing (will describe it through my case, i might find it hard to generalize and still make sense):
We know that the EA account and the Bioware social account are tied together.
We also know that by registering on this site we essentially an EA account as well, and that an existing EA account makes it possible to log in with it on this site.
As for myself, i have my "original Bioware" account registered to one email address, and my "original EA" account to another. By registering on this site i've created another EA account which is tied to this one.

The question is: if i buy the game from the EAStore, using my  "EA" account, will i be able to register my game on this site for my "Bioware" account (the one i'm using here since 2007 i guess) or will it be automatically registered to my "EA" account?
Should i rather use my "Bioware" acc in the EAstore to get the game registered to it? - not a pleasant idea since i have several other games tied to my "EA" acc in EADM.

Hope i made sense and someone wiser than me can answer my question. Thanks in advance!

To answer, yes you can register the game with that account. The game isn't already registered just because you purchase it with a different EA account. Is so, then my game would already be registered, because I bought it at EA with this account. I could buy the game at EAstore and give you the game, and you could then register... same thing.

I hope that made sense.

Of course, you probably cant register it with both...

If he wants to register the game to his circa 2007 Bioware account, I sincerely doubt he means the account he just used to post this thread, seeing as this forum only just opened :).

In answer, I'm assuming you can pick which account you register to and obviously the Bioware Social account is an EA account as well as the one you have used previously :).

Obviously I spent more time trying to reply than paying attention to the account creation date, heh.

Thanks, exactly the answer i was hoping for :)

I've re-created the acc with all the same user data and like to refer to it as 'old'. Sorry for the confusion.

Well, it is one year later and I can't even log in with my old account any more. But the screen name is still locked.

But I was able to re-register all games with the new account. And there is also a “Click here to remove registration” option. Strange, very strange.

A merge account option would be nice.
