LOL! Right, because people have never complained about this before. It's entirely new, and directly linked to the inclusion of m/m romances in ME3. Riiiiiiiight! <_<

Time good sir, same reasons in England in gyms you have to play music that doesn't offend any or all types of people. We're stuck listening to the same CD everyday.

It will come to games, its only the beginning

Alright so the Bioware aproach is to appease the fans. Thats good and all,

The new romance options, tthe same gender ones i understand is to appease lots the fans, which im cool with, as long as it is not forced upon us, Ex. Anders from DA2.

But after playing the Multiplayer, I've noticed that some of the enemies will say things like 'Goddammit', which to me and i'm sure lots of people find it offensive.

I know someone can say 'Well killing is against your belief's too. So play something else'. But of course you can't take that out of ME, cause it would be a totally different game.

Things like some 1-liner phrases can be changed, and if not in ME3, hopefully in future games. I'm just another fan who wants to continue to play Bioware games without having to listen to these lines.

Oh bother that, there's swearing in everything. So if swearing offends you, stop watching tv, movies, playing games, reading books, etc.

This thread is ridiculous. You have an issues with words but not with the murder? I do believe some one needs to really look at the world and decide which is worse. A few sounds we have assigned meaning to or ending the lives of other beings? By the way I am fine with both, this is a video game.

I think OP should just be happy he doesn't play with me on the higher difficulties.

The blue streak I swear up when cornered makes generic game dialogue look like kiddie stuff.

Why would I care if this "god" is offended You said it yourself that your beliefs say that killing is bad so by all means play something else as it seems rather odd that you find the phrase godddammit offensive while playing a game that involves killing.

Of course they could say Oh Allah Dammit but then Muslims would start complaining and setting fire to things

OP is a troll, this is why i'm not taking this topic seriously.

Nobody could be legitimately offended by god damnit and not like, practically every single other thing going on in Mass Effect 3.

You underestimate how ridiculously defensive religious people get of their gods.

With more and more evidence contradicting their holy books every day, they have to be extra defensive of god.

I said legitimately be offended.

He can be offended, but it's not legitimate. It's not backed by anything reasonable. I've got nothing against genuine christians...but there's no way OP can be a genuine christian. No Fan of the mass effect series can be, to much going on in the game that they stand against...such as aliens, false gods, pre-marital sex, skimpy outfits...just to name a few out of thousands of points that would drive a true christian up the wall.

inb4 open minded christians(No such thing, you are, or you are not christian, if you think you're an open minded christian, then you aren't doing it right and you're lying to yourself and the people you worship with)

I wish mods would close this joke of a thread.

OP is nothing more than a troll, willing or unwilling.

My gripe isn't swearing, im ok with that. Its cursing against God's name that is offensive. Its not a hard thing to leave out of a game.

I suppose i didn't clarify that. I understand not everyone is Christian and I'm not saying your opinions are bad. I'm not surprised to get this much hate on a topic, but the whole 'homosexual' relationship thing was also a minority, so why is my opinion so bad too you people?

Its not like I'm asking a lot.

I was about to give you a piece of my mind, until i read this. At first i thought that you wanted all cursing out of the game, and that wouldnt have been ok. I curse everyday, is who i am. If something goes bad or i hurt myself, cursing is my way of letting out steam. Im an atheist myself, but i can sure respect that you, a religious man, get offended when someone uses gods name in a curse.

Yes you are. Here's the difference:

Adding same sex relationships is about inclusion. And it isn't to appease a portion of the fans. It's about opening up the ME world and making it more like the real world. I'm not gay, but I love the inclusion and I appreciate how it makes the game more a reflection of the world we live in.

What you're asking for is to apply your values to the whole game for the purpose of excluding. Now, if you were saying, "all I want is a protagonist who argues for the inclusion of god-based faith," then I would say, "yes, that would make sense." But I would also point at the she's been in the game since day one. So it's not like people of faith aren't included in the game. It's just that not EVERYONE in the game is represented a person of faith, because that would be extreme.

So to exclude the real life term "goddammit" based on your faith would be to restrict the universe and make it less real.
