Bioware appeases minorities over the majority all the time, I don't see why this would be different... +1

Considering the complaint is against the flavour of cursing rather than cursing per se, i dare to guess if the enemies were instead screaming "Oh sh-t!" or "F--k!" when hit it wouldn't make the game any worse, and that'd easily avoid this entire potential controversy.AlanC9 wrote...
Not a lot, but you are asking to make the game worse.

And people, please get over this whole "Offensive" crap. You got offended. Big freaking deal. What ever happened to the phrase "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me"? You guys are acting like being offended can give you cancer. NEWSFLASH! It does not. It's not the worse thing in the world. Just get over it.

Hi. If you really don't feel okay about enjoy your life because of religion, you should probably stop practising it. Just saying.
I enjoy every day of my life and I believe and have faith in Yahweh/God/El-Shaddai/Jehovah and Jesus Christ and I'm a very tolerant person, I'm purchasing this game just I did the others, and will continue to enjoy things created by others while living my life even if at times I dont agree with the content or the reason for the creation of whatever item I may view or purchase. On that note this thread should be locked down as there is no hope for the "community" of "fellow" gamers to have a single ounce of respect for anybody, which I'm not surprised. The OP stated it bothered him/her and instead of asking why or trying to understand(not agree just understand the pov), and instead of making a tiny effort to understand or even better the willpower to restrain from being a jerk - it seems some would rather repeat what the OP has an issue with just to spite him/her.
PS I remember when I used to be a jerk to everyone, then I decided to grow up.

That'd work for me too. ME really has far too little cursing in it; it breaks my immersion terribly. Ever see a real video from troops in Afghanistan?

Religion is your life, even by not having a religion you have one. And btw, nice spelling.

By being an atheist I have a religion? Thats not how religion works.
Also, I'm tired and may have missed some other spelling error, but his only 'error' I can see is spelling practicing 'practising', however, in many places that arent America, that is the correct version of practice to be used in that specific context.

How is "goddamnint" offensive? If you got shot, I'm sure the first thing you'll be saying won't be "*Gets hit* Oh sassafrass, sassafrass, sassafrass". Because I know the first thing I would be saying is "Oh, ****! ****! Goddamnit!"
Kudos to you!

What is there to understand? Unless OP has personal spoken to God and s/he told him "Hey, guy. Can you post on the Bioware forums and let them know I'm not cool with the swearing?", it's not really a problem. And if he IS talking to God, how about he asks him/her why God chose to take Whintey Houston instead of Nicki Minaj.

For example, when i get a surprise jolt of pain (like the characters being shot), i impulsively say "Oh goddamnit!". I dont actually think or even mean "God, damn it."
lol people can be so sensitive these days

Well, he could be saying that you've got answers to all those Ultimate Questions the same as someone with a religion does, so it's pretty much the same thing.
I don't see how agnostics fit in, though.

You don't know how religion works do you?
Religion is the process of trying to understand the universe in a way that makes sense to you. Emphasis on the words TO YOU.
It's not a state of existence.

Agnostics fit in by being able to feel better about themselves by misidentifying themselves and not picking a side.
