Hi,

I'm playing through ME2 again in preparation of ME3 (to get 2 right saves).

It started just fine, but since yesterday I have had an increasing number of graphical issues.

The glitches are very random and dissapear when I alt-tab out of the game and back into it. Also sometimes the game freezes, but when I ctrl+alt+del and go back I end up in the menu and it seems fully working again.

I've tried to mess around with various settings (in the game and in nvidia control panel) but it doesn't help. I've also tried the "verify game integrity" option of steam

I've searched for people with simalar issues and often it is recommended to downgrade the nvidia drivers to a 19x serie (from right after ME2 launch), but my graphics card is from after that so I cannot do that.

Does anyone have any ideas?

The change coincided with my change from a 20" 1680x1050 to a 24" 1920x1200, but changing the resolution doesn't solve the issues.

Today I set the binary to WinXP SP3 compatibility mode and to run as administrator. That resolved the issues for an hour or so, but now they are back. Interestingly they also seem to get worse over time.

You may be having an issue with your monitor NOT being in the correct resolution, ie you may now have a 16:9 monitor and trying to use 16:10 resolution and thus it MAY be causing issues......

So I would try firing up the config utility and changing the resolution output to the 16:9 and see if it makes a difference.

His monitor is 1920x1200. That's 16x10. Changing to 16x9 won't fix anything.

I would try disconnecting the other monitor while you play.

Indeed both monitors are 16:10. Furthermore you wouldn't expect a monitor problem to show up on screenshots (since the monitor itselfs converts the given resolution to it's native resolution) nor to be so specific on models/effects/buttons.

Issues are gone for now, will try to disconnect (well, disable in nvidia control panel) the monitor when they return
