Here are the problems with the endings.
*They all achieve the same thing. The relays are destroyed, galactic society crumbles, and the Normandy is stranded far, far away from everyone else.
*They do not provide any form of closure for any of the characters. Because they are either stranded on Earth, or planet Contrivance.
*They render our choices pointless. Why should I worry about the genophage backfiring and the krogan going on a rampage? Who gives a crap! They are trapped in their own system again!
*Magic! One of the endings involves literal magic!

'Requires Sheppard to not have Brain One in his/her head. Gaurdian flat out says something that should, if Shep has a damn brain, tip his hand with an alternate strategy that puts the Kibosh on the whole thing, but we're not allowed to take any option but one of the three. "
Gaurdian controls the reapers. So why not destroy guardian???? If it's like how the reapers control each other, in ME3, then killing him would effectivly labotomize every damn reaper out there.
It's like the end of Fallout 3. Yes, you have a radiation immune robot who 'could' go in there without any risk to life and limb, but won't, because the writers didn't write the game that way.
