Charon?

Right correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Charon relay in the Sol system so if the Normandy crew are running from the Charon array they're in hte sol system so they get 'stranded' there?
Also, because of the hammer and sword wouldn't that mean that there are, you know, plenty of genetic material available, prenventing the situation they have in the North of Scotland?
Also, is there a way of saving the earth but making sure that Westminster along with every politician is brutally murdered? I'd love to See David Cameron the 29th getting husked and split open by a Krogen.

If they're in a mass corridor heading from the Charon relay, they could be anywhere.

Yeah this is the one thing that doesn't click here - why the Normandy was leaping through a Relay at that time.
And the fact that they can get thrown out during the middle of passing the corridor even though transportation between relays is instant.

"Mass Relays are mass transit devices scattered throughout the galaxy, usually located within star systems. They form an enormous network allowing interstellar travel. Hailed as one of the greatest achievements of the extinct Protheans, a mass relay can transport starships instantaneously to another relay within the network, allowing for journeys that would otherwise take years or even decades with only FTL drives."

Near-instant, but yes.
I would be ok if they were going to FTL Speeds to try to avoid the actual radial blast because EDI has reaper...
There's your explanation as to why.
EDI has Reaper-Tech in her.
Joker was trying to outrun the 'splosions to save EDI, maybe?

Also, from the wiki (which presumably is modded by enough fanboys to be correct):

Based on the fact that we've seen mass relay transfer in the game and it's not within 1 millisecond transfer, we can safely assume that instanteous is more along the lines of 20 - 30 seconds.

Game shows a 20 - 30 second lag-time.

NOT INSTANT, LAG TIME.
Seems a bit less for this particular relay destination though.
That was 30 seconds of lag? More like 3 seconds, for more dramalama effect. That's also the only time it happens, the codex is right, get over yourself.

IF THE GAME SHOWS SOMETHING DIFFERENT, THEN IT IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

Actually we rarely see any "within transit" Omega was the first.
So we know it's not instant. THE GAME SHOWED IT.
You must now account for why.
