I'm confused by the info thats coming in.  Apparently the Normandy flees from the Charon array.

Right correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Charon relay in the Sol system so if the Normandy crew are running from the Charon array they're in hte sol system so they get 'stranded' there?

Also, because of the hammer and sword wouldn't that mean that there are, you know, plenty of genetic material available, prenventing the situation they have in the North of Scotland?

Also, is there a way of saving the earth but making sure that Westminster along with every politician is brutally murdered?  I'd love to See David Cameron the 29th getting husked and split open by a Krogen.

If they're in a mass corridor heading from the Charon relay, they could be anywhere.

Yeah this is the one thing that doesn't click here - why the Normandy was leaping through a Relay at that time.

And the fact that they can get thrown out during the middle of passing the corridor even though transportation between relays is instant.

I'm gonna get real upset if team dextrose doesn't survive.

God willing I'll get one more chance for the Quarian to Tali me banana in ME3.

Also, from the wiki (which presumably is modded by enough fanboys to be correct):

"Mass Relays are mass transit devices scattered throughout the galaxy, usually located within star systems. They form an enormous network allowing interstellar travel. Hailed as one of the greatest achievements of the extinct Protheans, a mass relay can transport starships instantaneously to another relay within the network, allowing for journeys that would otherwise take years or even decades with only FTL drives."

From what I understand the enter the Charon Relay to go somewhere else when the relays are destroyed, so they end up in the other side of the chain, which I guess is Arcturus.

It's weird. It's like BioWare jumped over hoops to create a more complicated, less plausible, less enjoyable ending when the a simpler, easier, ending that most could enjoy was right there. All you have to do is keep the fates of the Shepard and the Normandy crew intertwined (like they are throughout the ENTIRE REST OF THE TRILOGY!). Dead/Alive/Merged/etc. Would please everyone, I think.

Near-instant, but yes.

I would be ok if they were going to FTL Speeds to try to avoid the actual radial blast because EDI has reaper...

There's your explanation as to why.

EDI has Reaper-Tech in her.

Joker was trying to outrun the 'splosions to save EDI, maybe?

Based on the fact that we've seen mass relay transfer in the game and it's not within 1 millisecond transfer, we can safely assume that instanteous is more along the lines of 20 - 30 seconds.

Charon leads to Arcturus and Arcturus leads to the Exodus cluster which is why Terra Nova and Eden Prime two of the oldest and largest human colonies are there so if the Normandy jumps through the Charon relay they could have ended up in Exodus and we have no idea how many moons the colonies there have.

No.

NOT INSTANT, LAG TIME.

Seems a bit less for this particular relay destination though.

That was 30 seconds of lag? More like 3 seconds, for more dramalama effect. That's also the only time it happens, the codex is right, get over yourself.

Don't pop a blood vessel, bruh. It's in the codex and every single time other than the Omega 4 relay, it's instant.

Actually we rarely see any "within transit" Omega was the first.

So we know it's not instant. THE GAME SHOWED IT.

You must now account for why.

The mass relays make a massless region of space. No mass makes massive speed possible but not instant. Flying around in game would be an even bigger snooze if they showed the travel each time.

If you want instant we need wormholes..but that is a different show

PS. You're. Still. Wrong.
