So I just downloaded ME2 from Origin for the second time. Both times have gone the same:

It downloads the full game (At least I think it's the full game, it only downloads a disc1 folder and tells me its downloading 10.8 gigs, so I'm not entirely sure if that's right). Then at the very end it gives me a  "download failed" error message. That itself dousnt tell me very much, but when I go into the files and run the installer (All the files are appearantly right there, so I figured maybe it'd work.) I get this nugget:

"No supported languages found. Please contact Bioware."

Now I did some poking around the internet, and it seems this issue is more common. However, there's no solution for Origin users anywhere. I already sent an E-mail to EA's customer support. No reply yet, but I am seriously hoping someone here has experience with the issue and can help.

I am downloading via Origin, I have 2 hard drives on my computer, I download my games to my D, the drive is 1.5 TB large, plenty of space for ME. I recently changed the folder for the game installers to D aswell. Windows runs on C. This has never caused problems with any Origin game before, ever. It did, however, download just fine on my old computer.

Dous anyone know what is whrong or how to fix it?It'd be greatly appreciated!

I have kind of a similar problem. I also download a 10.8GB folder (disk 1). I, however, have no problems with the installer. It starts perfectly, but, obviously, gets to a point where it asks for disk 2.

I have the same problem =.=. My windows 7 is in french but I ALWAYS play my games in english which has worked like a charm for the more than 2 decades I have been a gamer. I only had a similar issue once before and it was guess what ? With origin too and it was battlefield 3 -.- but at least the game installed itself. I was able to work around it somehow back then but now this mass effect 2 won't even install -.-. And I bought it for the second time since I already own it in physical format but can't find my first disk. Sigh, I wanted to replay the game and preorder mas effect 3 as well on origin but with that kind of crap I don't think I'll be preordering that 80 bucks me3 any time soon.

Hello guys, I seem to have stumbled upon something else intresting:

When I download most other games, such as Mass Effect 3 (Preload) and Spore, it creates a new game file in my Origin Games file. So the file path would be /(drive)/Origin Games/Mass Effect 3, for example.

However, when I try to download Mass Effect two, and Dragon Age too, by the way, it dousnt create this file, but instead only downlodas to the installer folder.

Perhaps something is going whrong with the download somehow?Yet it would still be a recurring issue, as I have wiped all ME2 files from my systen and redownloaded it from scratch with the exact same problem cropping up.

Hmm I noticed a common point between our two problems. I am also dlding to a secondary hard drive as my primary is a 120 gb ssd with no space to spare for games. That might be the source of the problem. ALso is your os in a different language than origin as well ?

Do you still have the disk one folder?
Can you check if it gives any instructions on how to install the digital version? Cause when I checked it before eliminating it I think I saw something like to install the digital version we had to contact the ones we bought the game from, but I'm not entirely sure if that's what I saw.

Could you write down here how to do both things so that I might repeat it? It would be alot faster then me finding out on my own..Or misinterperting it and messing something up.

I'l probably go to bed soon, but if you post how to do those things I'l post again tomorrow and we can see if we've had similar results.

First thing they asked me to do was to close origin, go into the origin folder launch an exe called OriginCLientservice and then launch origin and log in. Didn't solve the problem

Second step, I'll copy paste here what the guy told me:

Kushneet: Completely exit Origin by clicking File > Exit
Kushneet: Open My Computer.
Kushneet: Double-click the C: drive.
Kushneet: Double-click the ProgramData folder.
Kushneet: Double-click the Electronic Arts folder.
Kushneet: Double-click Origin folder.
Kushneet: If you do NOT have any downloaded material you need to retain (because you can re-download material when Origin is properly functional again), then do the following:
Kushneet: Right-click the cache folder and choose Delete.
Kushneet: A "Confirm Key Delete" window will appear, choose Yes.
Kushneet: If you have previously downloaded material that you would like to backup:
Kushneet: Right-click the cache folder and choose "Rename ".
Kushneet: Rename this folder to something like "cache.BAK "
Kushneet: Restart Origin and log in.

Well, that actually got me somewhere!

It didnt fix my ME, but after I laucned the Clientservice, it DID complete the download. ME2 is now ready to install, according to Origin.

Ofcourse, the moment I actually hit the "install" button it still tells me "No supported languages found. Please contact Bioware."

Still, it is progress.

I'm afraid deleting the download cache didnt do much, however. I'm going to call it a night now. I have some ideas of my own I can try when I get up in the morning. In the meanwhile, please do keep us up to date here on how your repairs are going! I'l try and do the same with mine, and hopefully we can get to the bottom of things.

Still waiting for my redownload to finish again. I am a bit worried by what v_c_gie was referring to earlier since my download is also only 10.8 gb and there's only a disk 1 folder but surely that's too much to be one disk only..

wow EA is going up very fast to the first spot on my ****list:

origin chat:

Anil:
You can create an image of the cd first and then install it from there.
you:
how do I do that ? I bought the game from origin
you:
so I only have downloaded files
you:
as in origin direct download
Anil:
Oh, sorry I thought of physical version.
you:
Funnily enough I actually used to own mass effect 2 in physical format years ago but I lost it so I rebought it on origin direct download to be able to play it before mass effect 3 comes out
Anil:
Try deleting your OfflineCache file in the following way.

1. In Origin, click the settings gear next to your username on the upper right side
2. Select Settings from the dropdown
3. Click on the ‘Browse Game Installers’ button. A window will appear with folders in it.
4. Shut down Origin
5. Then in the window, double click on the folder with your email address.
6. Delete the file called ‘OfflineCache’
7. Launch Origin again
you:
ok
you:
but will this window still exist
Anil:
No.
you:
ok
Anil:
We will not tolerate the use of inappropriate language. I am required to terminate our chat session immediately.

Since when is ok inappropriate langauge ? I printscreened the convo and I am gonna report this guy -.-

There is almost no one here.  This is a user to user self-help forum, and nearly everyone with experience playing the game has left.  Kloreep did create a good collection of FAQs on top, and the Archives are still in place, but the on-sire search was created as a broken device.  Use Bing, Google, or Yahoo, and add a redirector as follows:

site:social.bioware.com

All right. Third time lucky. I could finally download it correctly.

If it helps anyone, what I did to download it and avoid any kind of corrupt files were the following steps:
- I deactivated both the firewall and antivirus before downloading.
- I deactivated all of the hibernation and save energy options.
- I downloaded it on one go, that is, I started it and left the computer on till it finished, without pausing it.

This same error occurred for me with Dragon Age. It appears to be caused--at least in part--by interrupted downloads. I paused my first download of the game in an attempt to get a better download speed, and this appears to have caused the issue. I went into the download directory and deleted the Dragon Age folder, then re-downloaded the game without any pauses. The installer worked.

It's theoretical that the time-wise length of the download could also play a part; the first time, my download was at about 350 kbps. My second download of the game was done very late at night, and I was running at close to ten times the original speed. It's unlikely that this had any bearing on solving the problem, but you might as well try to download it at night while you're sleeping; you'll get the quickest speeds.

That is my understanding of the situation as well. In my case it wasn't a volutnary pause as my computer would just go into energy saving mode on its own during the night. But redownloading it after forcing my computer to stay on fixed my problem.

Just so everyone knows, I was having this same problem. I purchased the game through Origin and after downloading it when I tried to install I would get the "No supported languages found. Please contact BioWare" error. Well after reading this forum I deleted my installer and redownloaded it, leaving my computer on over night to make sure it was all downloaded at once and what do you know, worked like a charm. So, for those of you who are having trouble with this error, just delete everything and redownload it all in one go, don't let it get inturrupted and you should be great.
