Since you ordered from Amazon, you will get a "your order has shipped e-mail" that includes a tracking number. They usually send them out Monday evening after UPS/Fedex pick up the end-of-day shipment.

Gamestop told me my CE was packaged and ready to ship last Wednesday and still it's not shipped...irritating.

Yeah I just checked my email and I got the email from origin saying it was shipped. But in the email it has it to where I can check with ups and it says it hasn't arrived at their facility yet. So I'm assuming it will get shipped on Monday.

I don't understand. Even if you don't get your game on release day, you really think another day or two after months (or more) of waiting is going to be a kind of torture? Grow a back-bone people. Take a deep breath and just sit tight.

I preordered from Gamestop (ugh). I unfortunately did not pay extra for expedited shipping. In the past, all of my preorders have arrived on release or before without overnight shipping. So, I called Gamestop and was told that theirs are scheduled to ship Monday the 5th. And it was too late to upgrade my shipping... ****!!!!

I ordered from GameStop, they charged my GiftCard $97.20 and I paid for the One-Day shipping. I hope this Collectors Editions getting delayed by EA is just a silly rumor.

Of course not its the weekend. You have a better chance calling the retailer you ordered from.

This.  I ordered the CE on Amazon and choose release day shipping.  Without any heads up, they changed it to standard shipping with an estimated delivery day of March 11th - March 14th.  Luckily I caught it and changed it to one day shipping... So esteemated delivery is now March 8th.   It suck, but its not the end of the world.

You know, I can't help but think people are getting worked up over nothing.

In all likelihood, this "hold" is nothing more than the retailer, Walmart in this case, take precautions to make sure their shipping department/software doesn't see the item as in stock, keeping it from attempting to fulfill the order and ship earlier than the release date.

Not much different than what EA does with some retailers they don't trust in not shipping to them until the day before or the day of release.

Then if on the 7th you still do not have it in your possesion.....THEN worry about it!  All you're doing now is raising your blood pressure over unsubstantiated myths and rumors.

Go watch a movie......or better yet.....go have sex with that boyfriend you mentioned earlier.  I'm sure you'd put quite a smile on his face!

When there are retail promises that an item with be at your house the day it is released and on top of that people have paid for express shipment. I don't think any of us are being unreasonable not when it comes to dropping all most 100 bones for a game people expect it to get to them when the retailer has told them.
