Bioware, after months of leaks, mines, cracks, more leaks, two script reveals, and tons of angry BSN stuff, got so fed up they withheld the endings+extra diolouge of the game just to chatise us for being screwups and getting pissed at them.

And this "Day One-Patch" has the necessary unlock code/files/scenes/whatever to complete the game.

I honestly cannot willing accept after 10+ years working on the ME trilogy, they would do these endings, sit back, and say, "Wow, this is the BEST  work we could come up with to send off the coolest trilogy ever, I don't think we have any better scripting writing powers!"

I can't see that, when they have done so much better writing for KOTOR and ME1, (possibly ME2.)

I can't see them willing giving us these final endings, and have the writers+Dev Teams fully accept them either.

I kind of feel the same way... but sadly, it does seem like a marketing fiasco. And BioWare has already shown they are capable of those

Heh...heh..heheh..:D
I don't see BioWare doing that though. Stanley and Mr.Evil Chris do there jobs around here and when we get annoying they put a boot in the ass and either ban or set them straight. But there mods.  But BioWare has no reason to screw up a game just because the BSNers are annoying.

it's not just that, I mean the leaks and everything else went worldwide, and the entire dev team was under fire. I just can't willingly see them making these endings and loving them.

There's probably more involved than any of us can know, and (without being BW/EA employees) even begin to speculate. I wish games were labors of love, and sometimes they are: look at Bastion, Limbo, Braid, and a handful of other small, indie titles, that are clearly things their developers loved doing.

When it comes down to it, this is a paycheck. It's a job. And that means there's deadlines, and meetings, and politics. There's ad campaigns and numbers and publicity. There's bottom line and not bottom line. There's contracts and agreements and lawyers. There's intellectual property, there's plagiarism, there's all kinds of language and dialogues that go on behind the scenes to make a game of this scope.

Would I doubt that the publisher rushed the game? Absolutely not. The only company that can somehow magically afford to just release whatever the hell they please whenever the hell they please to is Valve, and most gamers are convinced that they ****** gold. But everyone else has deadlines they have to adhere to. And when was the last time you ever wrote a paper on a deadline and felt good about what was on it?

lol, this thread / idea again. It's hilarious. It really is the exact same "BioWare wouldn't 'do this'" defense.

As much as I want to believe in it, 'tis very unlikely. Video cinematics weight over 800, and they should change both audio and script too. Too many things for a small patch of 256 mb, however we still can hope of a surprise in the form of additional ending that was mentioned several times.
