This is exactly what you don't do if you want him to tank.Vaylor66 wrote...
His tanking abilities are pathetic, he has no defense or armor. Unless you want to build him full con and hp mode, in which case his dps would be worse.
Dog (questions for those who used him in/until the end game)

I got one interaction (in camp) between him and Allistair, Morrigna, Sten and Wynne.. No cutscene between him and Leliana so far.
Didn't really use him must outside of Loithering, so I'm asking - do we get some interesting/funny cutscenes?

Off topic I just want to stress again that when pc users refer to how easy the console version of the game is they always forget how much easier encounters become when you can pause and issue 4 separate move orders and have them happen simultaneously. I personally think this dumbs down the game in favor of the pc quite a bit and trivializes situations that are far more challenging on the console. Even if mobs did 50% more damage and had 50% more health the ability to do this makes encounters much much more manageable. For example any time you spawn a revenant on the pc you can simply pause and move all your ranged away from him at the same time on the console you have to manually move a guy jump to the next guy and move again etc the whole time your party is getting beat on. Again on the dragon when ever he does that thing that pulls your group to him and stuns so much easier to move all yrou ranged away in one pause as opposed to having jump to each guy individually in real time while the rest of your party is getting beat on.

On topic I like dog quite a bit from a role play perspective but the ability for him to wear jewelry and belts would be nice and go a ways towards making him more customizable. However he is great as a range chaser but if you have a mage he would only get in the way of an aoe attack. If you were trying to play the game through with an all melee squad I would consider him essential for that task though.

Yes, he has some. Take him to Denerim with you (zone in with him). I laughed myself sick.

There are minor differences, the largest being the topographical view not present on console versions, however they both have their advantages that lay with the platform they are on.
Console.
-Console version is nice because they are hassle free. Three playthoughs and never a crash. No installs, DLC a little closer to my fingertips, perfect framerate throughout the game. I can sit down on the couch, power up my 360, relax, and play on my massive projector screen. Its like im playing a movie. You could argue a keyboard and mouse is more precise, but I havnt had any issues with the controls for the console.
PC
First thing going for it is the toolset. I'm not sure how many mods are out so far, but there will be alot if there isnt already. Topographical view is nice, but I actually prefer the less efficient third person view. Graphics can be better, if your system is powerful enough. Theres about twice as many achievments.
Besides that, the differences are only minor. The only thing I've found that actively suggests that bioware did anything to 'dumb down' Dragon Age is the puzzle in the gauntlet in the search for the urn of sacred ashes.
On console versions, the platforms stay in place once activated, on PC you have to get the right combo straight through.

Not movement commands.
