What happens to my friendship with alistair if i accept loghain's surrender and recruit him as a grey warden? Also, will alistair be playable at the final battle if i did the above?

You will lose Alistair as a friend and as a party member if you recruit Loghain. He will not be playable afterwards, at the final battle or otherwise.

If Alistair isn't hardened, Loghain must be executed, or Alistair will either be executed or he'll end up as a wandering drunk. In any event, it is impossible to have both Alistair and Loghain in your party.

If you want to spare Loghain, make sure you harden Alister or else he'll get a bad ending.
note: Anora will not marry the one who killed her father, so if you want to hook her and Alister up, you'll need to kill Loghain yourself.
also note: I think most people just kill Loghain, he was kind of mean
