So... who's the Guardian anyway? Seriously I don't get what you're talking about.

It doesn't matter though becasue I'm convinced Bioware just decide to turn ME3 into the biggest troll game of all time.

Pretty much.
This whole time, you've been struggling for the sake of the galaxy - for trillions of lives - all because an AI voiced as a little kid was playing with toys.

I suspect that if this AI were given a body like EDI, the head would be a troll face.

I don't doubt that, especially not after hearing the epilogue. "Tell me another story about the Shepard." Ugh.

It sort of hit me on the same level as Yevan in FFX being a glowing ball. Jecht was awsome though, so it's forgivable in that case.

The thing I don't get at all, in the cinematic they can kill Reapers in combat, it would be a costly affair, but no where near as bad as blowing up everything. You would win by attrition in the end Reapers could not be replaced on any sort of timescale where as you could still keep pumping out ships and crews.

If you listen closely to the Crucible's voice, you can actually hear BroShep's (Mark Meer) and FemShep's (Jennifer Hale) voice repeating every word the kid voice is saying in an echo.
It's just something I noticed. *(shrugs)* Posted Image
If all the endings are going to be like this. I'll just have to deal with it. Posted Image

I don't have to like the way Bioware has apparantly chosen to end ME3 on a grim note for Shepard and his/her Normandy crew. (to paraphrase Executor Pallin)

I was hoping that Bioware would at least add one ending that would at least have Shepard and Co., say for example, continue to serve and protect the Galaxy from all enemies foreign and domestic. (and maybe have Shepard start a family with his/her LI, if the player chose to romance somebody at some point in the trilogy) But... I'm not developing the game Posted Image so I'll just have to dream. Posted Image

However I am not going to let this fact stop me from enjoying playing ME3. Because damn it I payed for this game! I played the demo and I think it was fantastic. So come March 8th (Australia's ME3 release date), I'm going to pick up my ME3 Collector's Edition copy, go home and start playing the *(censored)* out of it! Posted Image

with ME3 we are returning to the beginning of the cycle. The decisions Shep takes will decide if a new cycle is born. Or will you take the correct path and merge organic & synthetic life? Life is Life. What right do we have to kill the Geth and all synthetic life (life we created)?

The reapers are a result of this past mistake. The cycle is now complete. They will end, but what will be born of that end?

I'm beginning to like this end... although the dialogue does not do it justice by a long shot.

Oh and the fate of the Normandy.........:crying:

Shepard DOESN'T deserve the right to decide for everyone.  His/her role has been ridiculously exalted by Bioware's writers.

This nonsense is unacceptable.

Because only a kid would be stupid enough to think that to save organics from synthetics you should wipe out organics and use them to make ships.

Look at the bigger picture, by exterminating organics that are at the point at which they could unleash a fatal singularity event, they protect organic life as a whole,
Because a fatal, runaway singularity effect would end ALL organic life and potentially sterilize the galaxy till the end of time.
In the end it's a simple math - they destroy a small percentage of organics to ensure survival of the whole.
They don't care about single races, what they care about is that organic life as a whole survives.
It's not that hard to realize ...

Sovereign just seemed unconcered with Shepard and the rest of the galaxy.

Harbinger had a mancrush on Shepard.

To paraphrase:
Tom: By the way, did you ever play that game, Mass Effect 3?
Mr. Garrison: [throws up] Stop! That game was terrible!
Tom: I'm sorry, Mr. Garrison. Why don't you get some rest and I'll check on you a little later.
Mr. Garrison: Sat through that entire game to see the Guardian and it was that goddamn kid from the opening scene!

But yeah...if you're some sort of omnipotent space being who wants to pick a physical manifestation for yourself, the kid seems a kind of a poor choice.

Logically, the A.I.'s form can't actually be a human child... the Reapers predate humanity by several forevers and a decade. I think it's taking the form of the kid more as a response to the person it's conversing with than anything. Perhaps its appearance and voice even depend on the psychology of the one it's conversing with, a kind of ultimate translator that trancends language entirely, in a way.

As the innocent little boy who died in the Reaper invasion, that form may have appeared because it represented Shepard's desire to the end the Reaper invasion.

It would have been way cooler if the Guardian was Saren (especially if you had him kill himself) or the person you killed on Virmire (Kaiden/Ashley). This definitely would have had more WOW factor as the Guardian resembled someone who died with good intentions in an extreme crisis in Shepard's life.
Vent kid is briefly shown at the start of ME3...I suppose they needed a character for those who didn't import their game, but having the characters I described above would have been infinitely more meaningful to me.

Either of those would have been better for sure.

I mean I don't even think the sappiest women on the planet care about the kid.
