Yeah, it really bums me out, I am going to miss how they may never make anything like ME 1 or ME 2

I'm still sad that they never made a third Star Control game.  :P

or Kotor game or Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights or even a second Jade Empire. Thats just from Bioware.
The list could go on.

lol, well that was a bit of a joke on my part... there IS a third Star Control game, but it was made by different people, retconned in its entirety by the original creators, and was so bloody awful that the trendy thing to do on the internet is to refer to the series as though only 2 games were made, and contemplate why they never made a third.

Ohh, I got it alright. Though the only game I want another sequel of truly is Jet Set Radio Future or Battletoads...

Ah, ok, it was just that the ones you mentioned actually didn't have any kind of sequel.

A lot of Dreamcast games need sequels.  Shenmue comes to mind.

Mass Effect has so much spin-off potential.  Give me a Rainbow Six squadgame about a C-Sec unit.  Give me a first-person shooter set in the first contact war.  Give me a balls-to-the-wall action game where I play as a Krogan warlord during the Krogan Rebellions.  Give me a stealth game where I play as STG.  I'd buy them all.

So many possibilities.

EDIT: Gimme a citybuilding game where I make space colonies.

i will miss the characters, and having them end up in random planet 1138 doesn't help the feeling of closure a final game should have

The only reason it would be is if they just stopped making Mass Effect stuff.  Shepard's story, as big as it is, is just a small part of the universe, its history, and its future.

Why. One person should not equate to a whole setting. The fact that Shepard is player choice should make it easier to accept that ME is more than shep.

Really it's not like all Element Zero was randomly vaporized. The relays were ruined and some (keyword some, the guardian never specifies) technology will be unusable if Reapers are destroyed. Ships apparantly aren't one of them as Normandy is still able to attempt to make a run for it, and crash land safely. So while the relays are a major setback, ships can still work, Mass Effect fields can still be used, and presumably more relays can be built. So they aren't suddenly back to the dark ages. Even before humanity discovered the relays they were at slightly higher than modern day tech, without using any Reaper tech.

They aren't as screwed as people seem to think.
