well i popped the 2 disc in and installed the game but it gives me an release date check. so am i gonna have to wait until actual realease date to play? really stupid especially if i got my copy at a store.

The PC version requires Origin, so once it's installed, it's the same as having it downloaded, release date check and all.

yeah thats what i thought. well that sucks. what happened to the days where u pop in the disc and play straight off of it. all i want is singleplayer.

Even Steam does that (release date check/etc)... so don't just blame Origin.

I've noticed that the game files were already on torrent sites since a week, even they can't play till release date because of encrypted binary files. So at-least it did stop the pirates from playing the game before it's played by legal owners.
