I'm looking for assistance in making SoZ Multiparty compatible...Any scripters out there interested in this project let me know. Would be cool to have a persistent world based on SoZ campaign, including Overland map with new random wandering encounters and a dynamic dungeon system, new quests, items and such. This is a major project i'm working on.
Who would like to see SoZ Multiparty compatible...

Insulting people is always a great way to get them to help you. Just like appearing out of nowhere, not contributing, and asking people to make you a world.

Hi MasterMind,
I don't want to be a buzzkill but I think that most people with the level of technical expertise that your project would require would be more inclined to create their own project than modify SoZ.
You might get more bites by asking specific questions about scripting the systems you want.

I'd suggest joining another project to learn how to do things, and only after you understand the basics to try to adjust the official stuff. Doing what you are talking about, well it's really a lot more than just adjusting a few things, you'd really have to redesign how it works from the ground up to work in a way more akin to a PW.
I think if you understood both the game and the community better you'd find much better things to do than what you are proposing, that are also easier to accomplish. I would suggest asking to join an existing PW and doing small projects until you learn the engine.

Hi - I'd like volunteers to work on an amazing new project I'm putting together.
I need scripters, area creators and someone who knows how to essentially rewrite a decent portion of the game. Later on, I'm probably going to need someone to host "my" creation for free, and maybe even spend hours developing a website and maintaining forums for it as well.
I don't plan on doing any of the work myself (I'm an "ideas" guy primarily), nor will I spend my spare time (it's far too valuable...), and then ask semi-informed questions about how to get something working when I'm stuck, but 6 years after this game was released there must be a lot of people still around who know how to do all this stuff who aren't already involved in their own teams/creations, right?
Man, never saw that coming....
