So I pre-ordered my PC Collecter's Edition of Mass Effect back in the summer from the Origin store and I received an e-mail recently saying it's shipped, so I have purchased the game. But, like the title says, nowhere on my Origin Client thing is the option to pre-load Mass Effect 3. There's no icon for it anywhere. I have tried closing and reopening Origin multiple times with no change.

Anyone else having this problem? And I'm sorry if someone else has already posted something similar.

I'm having problems with Origin too, but in different ways.

So, I think they're either getting overwhelmed or they'll be an update before release.

Ask the support to cancel your order, then you order from the web pages, not the client, that worked for me

For me it just took a while, then it woke up and let me pre-load.

Also, the option to preload: you have to right click the N7 thing and select preload.

I originally ordered from the web pages. Also, I ordered a hard-copy version and they've sold out of them months ago. If I cancel my order, I probably won't be able to get it back. It's already shipped and on the way to my house.... I don't mind waiting to install the whole thing once it arrives but I'd like to be able to pre-load it to cut my wait time down on Tuesday when it arrives....

Thing is on my Origin page, there is no N7 icon anywhere. I only have the icons for the Mass Effect Pinnacle DLC from ME1 and for the ME3 demo I installed on Feb. 14th.

The Client page doesn't even seem to recognize that I ordered the game because it keeps having pop-ups saying "pre-order your copy of ME3 today!" Don't know if it's saying that for everyone but it's frustrating since I did pre-order it, a long time ago, and now it doesn't seem to remember that despite the fact it's already en route to my house....

My Pre-load option is greyed out in Origin.

Somewhat annoying.

I get the "Pre-Order Now" advertisements as well, even though I have a digital version of the game on Origin. As for why you cannot pre-load the game, I believe that is due to the fact that you will get a code or something to link the game to your Origin account when it ships (if I understand correctly that you bought a physical copy of the game through Origin sales). You do not need to pre-load the game because the installation material will be on your disc. You will only have to download the day-one patch. It kind of sucks for you, but it makes sense from EA's perspective.

So you ordered from the web page and think Origin client should know the CD key thats (wait for it) in the sealed box in the mail to you now.

No, I don't expect my Origin Client to be magical like that. Just from what I've read and researched, you should be able to pre-load the PC version regardless of whether it's a hard-copy or digital download. I assumed you would use the CD key to verify the install afterwards, decoding the pre-load and allowing me to register the game. I could be mistaken though.
