Fidget and Joker are right, you completely misread that link. Both are fine for the citadel, but major missions require 1 or the other.

I was viewing it as the missions that you start on the Citadel that require you to go planet scanning require you to swap disks.

Kids today are so spoiled. I remember when I played games with 5 or 6 disks. I'm PC anyways...

Five or six discs, you was lucky then. In older times we had to use tapes which had load times of 20-30 minutes per tape. With a chance upon loading that it did not load correctly due to alignment being off on the tape deck requiring getting out the screwdriver and realigning by random guess how much to twist one screw and then having to load it all over again just to play slots or a text based adventure.

The annoying thing is when you in install both disks on the hard drive of the 360... AND YOU STILL HAVE TO SWAP DISKS.

They should make it so that if you have installed it on the hard drive you don't need to change disks. Have a digital key on disk 1 that lets you play the full game without swapping. Don't put the digital key on disk 2 and it would stop others from using it. Job done.

I'm fairly sure he meant story missions. Sidequests would be overkill lol.

Meh, beats performance issues and no ME1 importing. Image IPB
No offense PS3 fans.  Image IPB

Its called obsolete technology, why are you using it. But again be thankful you don't have Origin, I'd take a 30 minute random error or something over Origin.

Origin is just an unrefined version of Steam to me, and I have no problems with Steam. Still, some functionality definitely needs to be added if EA wants to be competitive. I guess it's still "Beta" :P.

it will probably be annoying at first, but after a little time ((and I do mean a little)) people will make a list of which quest are on which disk to make future play threw better.

Also on a side note people saying "I have this thing called a "PC." Please grow up, and stop being an elitist there many reason people don't play ME on a pc, perhaps there pc isn't strong enough, perhaps people prefer the console.

Or heck there could be a loyalty thing tied to it like me, Back in 2007 my PC was a PoS when I first got mass effect, Over those years Ya I got a new pc hell my current pc can run Skyrim on Ultra without even slowing down, But I will still be getting this on X360, Know why? Case I want to see MY Shepard finish his fight not a shepherd I copied form my X360 the one I started the game with.

So stop being elitist KTHXB.

Don't bother. PC players will always be the biggest elitists in these discussions. It's a requirement for gaming on one.

That's why you will never experience the all time power of the FIRST Mass Effect! That's right, now embrace eternity!

I have experienced the first Mass Effect. I have a 360 and have played both ME1 and ME2 on it. I recently got a PS3 and I am going to finish the series on that console.

Further proof that PC is and always will be vastly superior to consoles.

Ah well, I could use a little stretch in between long sessions. Hopefully it's not every other side mission, though.

Yea this seems like a serious step back from ME2.

Sucks, sorry about the disc size limit on your platform.  However, you may be able to install the game to HDD, and that should largely eliminate that problem.

^Not really. You still have to swap out the discs when prompted, which is the primary issue.

just be glad you never played ultima 5 on the commodore 64. it had 4 or 5 3 1/4 inch floppy disks that used both sides >_<

if you hate disk swapping now, rejoice you never did it back then

If it's anything like Star Ocean, there will be many many game hours before you have to do any swapping.

Not an big deal - getting up off the sofa for a couple of seconds here and there is hardly an issue, or at least it shouldn't be. Never going to be a worse issue than the days when the Amiga was all the rage.
