Wait, so console users (or Xbox users, since PS3 has blu-ray, I presume) have to swap discs? Oh, wow.

*sigh* Kids these days.

Nobody remembers the 90's.

*reminisces*

I remember FFVII had 3 discs, while VIII and IX had 4.

I have to laugh at all the console gamers because the hardware in their console is equivalent to a modern toaster.

Really people are complaining about disk swapping....

All you have to do is get up, push that little eject button, swap the disc, close the cd drive, and sit back down.

There that's it... is that so hard?

Adventure games were the best about this.

I remember reading that Myst IV was exclusively produced on DVD, because otherwise it would have had to come on 12 CDs. And this in 2004, mind you.

I think the only multidisk game I owned was Chrono Cross... I never even got to the second disk :(

Better than adding in restrictions just to avoid disk swapping like ME2, surely?

Disc swapping isn't a problem for me. What I care about is that they make it so you have to swap discs for the quests while on the citadel. Should have just done it like they did in the old days. Put half the game on one disc, and half the game on the other. This way you aren't swapping back and forth all the time. You get to a certain point in the game and switch, and then that's it.

How many disks is it on PC? I hope everything you need is on there.

THIS

ME2 was on 2 disks. I would have been surprised if ME3 was not...

I hate the fact that 360 installs are not rewarded for instance if you install the both discs then all you would need is disk 1 in the drive to play the whole game. They really need to add that in.

Microsoft tried to bring out their own format with I believe the HD-DVD and thought Sony was making a booboo with BluRay, BluRay won and HD-DVD failed. So really only ones to blame are Microsoft for using DVD drives and it's smaller capacity or blame yourselves for buying a system with lower specifications. Bioware and EA are not to blame for your choice in system. They have chosen to supply you on your system by the method the system uses. If don't like disc swapping then should of stuck with PC or PS3. Either way the more discs the better as it means more content.

Isn't that what cost us the ability to bring Tali on early quests in ME2.  Which really sucked.

(And applied to me, despite playing on PC where disc swapping isn't a concern)

Amen and amen. I have 360. It just is what it is. If there weren't 2 disks I'd be worried.

No it just meant that Tali was unavailable in ME2 until a certain point in the game. Seriously that's how it was supposed to be.
