I want catridges back. >:(

Cartridges these days have the potential to store truly vast amounts of data. When also consider the instant load times I feel it was shame technology went the way of discs instead of improving the cartridge system far more.

I don't understand what the big deal is. Is it that hard to open the drive, swap discs, and click ok?

Microsoft tried to bring out their own format with I believe the HD-DVD and thought Sony was making a booboo with BluRay, BluRay won and HD-DVD failed. So really only ones to blame are Microsoft for using DVD drives and it's smaller capacity or blame yourselves for buying a system with lower specifications. Bioware and EA are not to blame for your choice in system. They have chosen to supply you on your system by the method the system uses. If don't like disc swapping then should of stuck with PC or PS3. Either way the more discs the better as it means more content.

that would mean I would have to deal with the PS3's game line-up and the inconvenience of the PSN. (can't speak for PC). No thanks....I'll deal with changing disks rather than that.

All the PS3 and PC players (I'm both) OUT OF HERE!

I don't mind getting some exercise, god knows most gamers could use a 5 second walk back and forth from time to time.

Those four steps can be quite the effort for some! :wizard:

It's the expense. N64 games generally cost a lot more than PS1 games, and that was part of the reason for why the PS1 won that generation's war.

It will be pretty irritating when you have to keep doing it.

Exactly. It's not like Mass Effect 2 where it happens at a certain point in the game, we'll have to swamp between discs for different missions due to the non-linear progression of the story.

Pretty sure there's only 1 disc. Didn't they show the unboxing?

Yea. I only saw one disk.

360 has two discs.

Ah. Guess it's only the Ps3 version. Well, can't really blame it. Trying to develop games for aging consoles is a pain no matter how you look at it. They really need to release the next gen already.

Also on a side note people saying "I have this thing called a "PC." Please grow up, and stop being an elitist there many reason people don't play ME on a pc, perhaps there pc isn't strong enough, perhaps people prefer the console.

Or heck there could be a loyalty thing tied to it like me, Back in 2007 my PC was a PoS when I first got mass effect, Over those years Ya I got a new pc hell my current pc can run Skyrim on Ultra without even slowing down, But I will still be getting this on X360, Know why? Case I want to see MY Shepard finish his fight not a shepherd I copied form my X360 the one I started the game with.

So stop being elitist KTHXB.

I hate to quote myself but it REALLY is needed, and frankly Any Elitism/Fanboyism REALLY TICKS ME OFF!
Who the hell cares if your pc/Ps3/Xbox360 or any other system I thought gaming was about exactly that GAMING if whatever the person uses get the game in there hand to enjoy and thus have fun talking to people about high and low point of a game they played!

I don't claim to be a pc or console elitist cause I’m a Game guru, I own All 3 and I play ALL 3 and I still think there a place in this world for all as long there bringing gaming to people and thus blighting what is a brief life and brining joy. Then were do people get off looking down on the other over system choice, to me this is like a 3 year old child gloating that his G.I. JOE is better than his friends Power Ranger.

In the end allot people on this forum need to grow the heck up.

Well actually GI Joe was a great 80's cartoon series (not as great as Transformers or MASK though), and Power Rangers is a horrible live action series from the early nineties...

You just brought some faith into this thread. These games like Mass Effect has that charm that you can talk about those epic, funny moments or just construe the story of ME with your friends. It really makes me sick when somebody just marches by and talk about how is his system so superior.

lol wow, all the pc elitists. I have an alienware computer and still use my 360 for games the majority of the time. Stop being stuck up and learn that some people prefer consoles.

When all said and done there still hunks of plastic meant for enjoyment, if the person having fun with it who cares which one it is.

Not if you have an older Xbox 360 that doesn't always read the disc.

False, older 360's don't exist, RRoD would have claimed it by now.

Despite of having the option to install games on the 360 players are still forced to swap disc? This is retarded.
