I'm getting stuck on entering the last room in the underground ruins, where the lady and the demon are chatting.
My screen darkens a shade or two, a "loading" message pops out in the bottom right corner and that's it, I have to kill DA2's process.
I've patched to 1.04 and had a smooth run till this quest - other DLCs, namely Legacy, ran just fine (still have to check MotA).
Any suggestion?

As soon as the word "Loading" appears, tap the Esc key - that should do it. It worked for me. I thought it might have been just me but, guess not

I had the same problem with the Repentance quest - which hitting the Esc key did fix. However, I am now having this issue with the quest "Faith" and the Esc key does not work. After the battle the screen freezes and "loading" appears but the cutscene where the agent is supposed to appear does not trigger - even after hitting Esc. I have to shut down the game from the task manager every time. Never had this problem with the Exiled Prince content before the patch 1.04. Anyone else have this problem? Or any suggestions?

Faith was fine for me, Repentance has repeated the bug on three different games for me, so not sure on faith but, Repentance is a repeatable bug as of 1.04.

I've been having the same problem since 1.04 as well. It's why I came here. I haven't gotten to Faith yet. Hopefully this will be addressed though. Also, thank you too, DarkAmaranth1966.

I did Faith as the first thing in act 3 with Sebastian, Fenris and Varric and, it was fine. Tested and went back to the check point, tried with various parties- it bugs if Anders is in the party and Fenris isn't, with both it's fine. Odd but try either no Anders or Anders and Fenris.

Thank you for the suggestion, but just tried Faith again with Sebastian, Fenris and Varric and it still hung on the first cutscene after the fight. I am most of the way through Act 3 by now - maybe that makes a difference?
The first few times I tried Faith I had just finished Legacy and a couple of the companion "catch up" quests in Act 3. I've tried with Anders and Fenris, Aveline and Fenris, and Merrill and Varric (all with Sebastian of course) and each time it hangs at the first cutscene after the fight.

An addendum to my last post. I reloaded an earlier save from right after the cutscene going into Act 3 - before I had completed anything at all in Act 3 or Legacy. I talked to Sebastian to get Faith started, changed my party to Sebastian, Fenris and Varric and immediately went to try to complete it. Unfortunately it still hung on "loading" right after the fight in the keep.
I've reported this issue to EA as well and will post anything I am told of use. Although any suggestions are still appreciated I hate missing out on content.

That's odd, my hang was on Isabella's act 3 quest, I fixed that by going back to the start of act 3, doing Faith, then my usual shopping run about, then Alone, then Isabella. Something with 1.04 is causing random quest cut scene failures, and glitched repentance. I suspect they might be related.

I'm having the same issue - unending loading for final sceen in Repentance. Thanks for the ESC button tip. Hope that works for me.

Just came looking for a fix for the Repentence bug. Glad to hear that there's an easy bypass of it.

I also ran into this problem and tried everything then pressed esc and it worked. No other quest has this problem. Just have to remember this tip. The EA support guy didn't know the answer either.
